Moved-up to the 8600 OfficeJet AIO from a 6310 OfficeJet that had given me over five years of reliable service.
The 8600 is excellent - better than expected. Appreciate its ease of use - especially the touch-screen function selector. Am very happy that I bought another HP product.

The Company has gone through some bad publicity recently because of its selection of a CEO a few years ago, but, he's gone, and they still build a quality product.

I wanted this printer for home use. So far it does everything I wanted it to. I have not had a chance to print a large picture as yet, which is why I selected this large format printer. I have used the copy feature and quickly understood how to use the enlargement feature. HP products have served me well in the past and I expect this to continue.

I like the features in this printer, it works great. However, it is very sensitive to the quality of paper that can be used in it.

This machine does exactly what it says it will do. I have not found any problems and it is surprisingly effecient. We were looking for a printer to accommodate 2 small business and even looked into a business machine. Considering the money and the features, this one was a clear winner. Still think so. We did have to have HP help us with installation. Even now, it is confusing about that, but it does work. The only thing I'm not happy about is that so far, I haven't found a way to print from a document feeder instead of a tray. Sometimes, I would like to put loose sheets of paper onto the top grid and have those printed onto - but no, it has to come from the trays.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We have owned several HP products-, PC's, laptops and printers over the years. HP has always offered good price/value proposition. This printer is mostly well thought out and one we plan to use for all our scanning and printing needs for years to come.
Two functional opportunities:
When legal paper is loaded in bottom tray, tray has gap opening that makes it seem as though the tray doesn't fit properly. Printing on legal works as planned but tray looks out of place. My Dell printer legal tray simply "sticks out" in the rear making for a more finished look. Our HP printers at my emplyer work the same as my Dell. Seems like an unusual design flaw that easily could have been overcome.
When printing to legal paper, it is not possible to set printer to auto select tray. User has to select legal size paper and tray to print from for each job. Printers I use at the office auto select. So does our Dell. Again, seems like this should be an easy design fix in the software. Not a deal killer, but should not be necessary to select tray/paper size for each legal paper job.
Setup was painless.
Love being able to print from anywhere with any device.

I have only had this printer up & running for a little over a week now,. I must say that compared to the Photosmart model I had previously, this one outshines it in virtually every way. I absolutely love the dual trays for the paper. It is fantastic to not have to reload the trays constantly when I am copying a large number of flyers or printing out numerous articles. I love the way this one will copy on both sides & feeds from the top. It is fairly fast too. Easy to install as well. If it will continue to perform like it has been, then it will be money well spent & already it has relieved some headaches of not being dependable like the other HP Photosmart 309 did. I have no problem recommending this model to my friends,.

I was impressed by how easy the setup was. Ran the CD that came with the printer. It did all the identification for my network. Even picked up the Passwords needed. One of the easiest configs I have ever done. Prints well. Copies nicely. The only issue I am having is with ePrint from an email. I've sent a couple off fine. It's nice to be able to print at home from my office at work. But sometimes the email are returned as undeliverable. Probably operator error. I'll get it figured out. All in all I highly recommend this printer. If I was shopping for a printer this is the one I would get. I was looking for an Airprint compatible printer from our iPhones. This one did it. I did not have to do a thing on the iPhone. Everything was setup. Just selected print and out it came. Great Job HP..
