Great printer!

I have been using an HP PhotoSmart C7100 printer for several years and really liked it. It met all of my needs--printing, copying, scanning, and faxing. It began leaking ink and I decided to replace it rather than try to repair it. I talked to a sales expert on the HP website and, based upon a discussion of my needs, he recommended the HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 e-All-In-One. I received it a few days later and was surprised that I was able to install it and set up wireless printing from both of my computers all by myself (I am not very tech savvy). I like this printer even better than the HP I had before, and it has some additional features: a 250-sheet paper tray and a self-feeding scanner. The total price was much less than I thought I would have to pay for the features I needed. I've been ordering my printer ink and paper supplies from HP for several years, and ordering a new printer from the website was just as easy and convenient. They also have user manuals available to download.

this is about my eighth or ninth hp printer, I was sceptical because my other printers didn't fair so well. then I began to read the reviews for this printer after I purchased it and thought, here we go again. A very pleasant surprise. absolutely, the easiest set up I've ever done in my life. everything worked the first time. love the features especially eprint.

I am disappointed in this product

I installed the printer which went fine then things went downhill. I attempted to print an A5 form and to my surprise it is not a supported form. Did the developers feel that less printing capability is a desired feature? I went to the HP website only to find that the printer (that I had registered upon receipt) was "not in warranty". Then the official HP website tells me to redefine the printer and give another try to printing the A5 form. No improvement in results but now my printer is totally screwed up because of the printer redefine. Delete and reinstall the printer and still not able to print an A5 form. VERRRRRY DISAPPOINTED with HP. I think a release to correct this problem is in order. I would have returned the printer at that moment but am away on a business trip and could not complete that activity before I had to leave. I would appreciate return correspondence with a response to this email.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This IS the best printer I've ever had

My first all-in-one. I have only used PRINT, SCAN, OCR SCAN (100% accurate!) COPY. In my brief use of this machine, I am totally satisfied. It is quieter and faster than my last several printers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The last hp printer lasted four years, scanner feed finally broke and time to step up.
This is faster, and the software is better than the last model.
Installation disc was not readable by my dell, did a download of software from HP website, amazing it worked with no issues. Always holding breath when these things happen. Easy install, and use.
The software improvement includes the HP software no longer launches every time you use. For use multi taskers a great improvement. Will not let you scan a second document until first one is saved or sent.
The machine is big, but I have already scanned several hundred pages without issue, copied at least a hundred pages and printed the same.. For the price well worth it. I rely on this machine a lot. A good upgrade. Staff fighting for my old one

More than you'll ever need

This printer is more than capable of handling my printing needs. In fact, a cheaper (and much smaller) model would be sufficient for what I use it for (a few documents a week, a color picture once in a while), but the number of pages each ink cartridge (allegedly) can print should save money in the long run. I don't like that the feeder can't handle paper with more than a few wrinkles (sorry, eco-friendly re-users), but the wireless option saves room and takes away the hassle of cords.

This is my 4th HP Printer since the mid 90's. I've done the research on other brands, but there is nothing that compares to HP's functionality, quality, and great looks. I had no problems setting up this printer and the wireless connection going on all 3 computers in very little time, less than an hour. The cost of the inkjet cartridges isn't much more than what I was paying for my Officejet K60. I'm not replacing that one, but just adding to it. The K60 stills works great, but I wanted a printer with wireless functionality so I can use my laptop anywhere in the house and print. The quality of the printing in color or black/white is outstanding. I won't buy anything but HP Printers!
