Clunky and outdated

In order to print envelopes, you must remove the paper tray, remove any paper in it, put the envelopes in and replace the tray. Reverse the process after printing the envelopes. This printer replaced a much older HP printer that had a slot for envelopes. Just slide the envelope in and print it. Why would anyone get rid of a convenient feature and make a product more difficult to use? Construction is on the flimsy side, as we have come to expect from modern electronics. But it does spit out paper. Very fast. If you want high production and don't mind some set-up time, this is for you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am enjoying this HP printer more than any of the others I have had over the years. I have not tried printing photos yet. But love the duplex feature. I never even thought of making cards before but needed to do over 12 thank you notes. It saved lots of time and my hands, only thing I needed to hand write was the envelopes. LOL
I would recommend this to a friend!

This printer hhas some really great qualities. It was very easy to set up and the print quality is awesome - i would recommend this printer to anyone whose looking for the next level of printer.

It's miraculous that such a great machine can be produced at this price. So far, we love it. Only caveat to the review is: we haven't had it very long.

Great for the home office

This Officejet Pro 8600 is easy to set up and great to use. I especially like the sheet feeder and the duplexer features. However, make sure you read the instructions on setting up the fax and any phones on a DSL line. Make sure you have the filters for each line. A great product for a great price.

Outstanding all in one. HP does it right the first time. Fast and I mean fast shipping. Quick setup and looks great. Has a small foot print and is both fast and super quiet.

Best printer i have ever owned. seamless integration, fast, near laser quality, scans with ease and so many features I'm not using them all. Even prints from Ipad and has eprint. Only downside is its quite loud.
