I have had mine for a couple of years. Very satisfied with it, excellent for spices as well as coffee. However, now the lid seems stuck, won't come off the base - even when unplugged. I'm afraid I will break it if I force it, and the unit still works, I just can't open it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
