Great investment

We bought this microwave 3 months ago and love it. It heats things up efficiently and accurately. Don't feel tempted to add time to this microwave as it is very powerful. Make sure you have the space for it as it will take up a good amount. A corner under the cabinets works well for us.

Works great. Fits all my microwave dishes and I really like the popcorn feature. No more burnt popcorn. Auto defrost works well.

Amazing Microwave!

I just got this microwave today. I had a cheapie before this one that lasted about one year and then finally died. This GE is amazing! It's rather large, but I bought it because it has beep volume and mute settings. I set it up in just a few minutes and threw some precooked, refrigerated bacon in it to test it out. Within 5 seconds, the bacon was sizzling! My old microwave took about 30 seconds and usually burned one side and left the other cold. This cooks very evenly. I can't say how long it will last, as I just got it today. But it's very impressive so far.
A word of caution though...this is the second one I got today. The first one was damaged during shipping. The right, top corner was dented, which messed up the alignment to the door. I had read reviews that the door doesn't close properly, and I believe this may be a common damage point. I took it back to the store I bought it from and they replaced it with another one that wasn't damaged. The door closes fine and everything works great. So if the door seems out of line when you purchase it, get it replaced immediately. It's probably damaged.
My only regret is that over the last few years I probably spent as much as I paid for this one on cheap trashy ones. I wish I would have bought this one a long time ago. It's a very impressive machine!
