This thing weighs in at around 53 pounds. It takes a substantial amount of countertop space. It leaves about an inch of clearance between the microwave and the bottom of my top cabinets. The contols are nice. Easily opens by pushing in on the door release. Plenty of power at 1200 watts. This thing is a beast.

GE Microwave

I like the color black and the size of the microwave. The inside is real nice with the 16 inch turn plate, a good size for defrosting and cooking large amounts of food. The door has to shut hard and loud, but I can live with that.

Love this microwave!

I just installed this microwave a week ago, as my previous microwave, also a GE, the Profile model in SS, quit working after about 6 years. I loved the way it worked so well that I went back with GE again. This oven has features that I like much better than the previous one, such as quick start minutes from 1 to 6 that you simply push and the microwave starts immediately. I hope that this one holds up for me, as I will update this review if I have issues.
