We love our new GE Microwave. It's large enough to handle all of our cooking and reheating needs... not to mention it's very pretty on our counter.

Nice Appliance, But . . .

This microwave is a good unit, but I do have a few minor quibbles with it. First the touch pads require more pressure than I think is necessary, so that often I have to push one a second time to register. Also, I wish the "start" pad were located in one of the four corners instead of midway on the right side. It makes it just slightly harder to locate.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We purchased the GE to replace a competitors similarly sized and broken oven. Above our electric range we have a 30 year old microwave oven mounting shelf & hood system which vents to outside air. This is relevant because its size limits our choice in replacement microwave ovens. The GE's smaller outside measurements fit perfectly. My wife and I like the brushed stainless steel trim which matches our other major kitchen appliances. Inside volume is excellent for this price point and the inside surfaces are easily cleaned since GE's design has eliminated any irregular hard to access surfaces.
The oven has more than enough power with levels that are easily changed with a button push. It's also very quiet compared to other microwave's we've owned. All controls are on the black front touch pad which has good contrast against the button numbers and description lettering which are easy to read.

I bought this to replace product that has burns out it's element. While this is a different brand, it looks exactly like it and has a few more extra features that I love like the Quick Time. It matched perfectly with the existing faceplate we had and still fit in the built in cabinet space.
