This model mutes the button sounds and the "ready" buzzer which is important to our household with everyone working crazy hours, the quiet is important. I don't know why this feature isn't on all microwaves

I bought this model 15 years ago and worked it to death! So glad the same size and model was still available. When something works well we want to keep using it!

All you really ever need in a microwave oven

Bought as replacement for non-GE brand unit that fried itself after less than 2 years of operation. This GE unit was meticulously packaged and secured, including the carousel and its drive carriage. Due to the very good ratings (which is why I purchase this unit), I expect to get many years service from this appliance - time will tell.
