Works perfectly; round insides make easy cleanup!

Bought this almost a year ago and it's the 1st microwave oven I have actually enjoyed. Most all the buttons are timed perfectly with what they need to do and everything is easy to understand. My favorite part is the back is rounded, not squared so clean up has been extremely easy! I love this and hope they never get rid of making the round back.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Crossing my fingers

This is our second time around with this model. The first only lasted 2 years before the turntable motor started making clunk noises. I only bought this one because it was inexpensive, I like the features on it (most things I can cook with just one touch of a single button. How lazy am I? Very!), and the store we bought it from offered a 2 year extended warranty/replacement plan. If this goes the way the other one did, it will come in handy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I got the one that was built better and will last longer than its predecessor.

Continuing a Legacy of Solid Design

I was pleased to see that this microwave retained so many of the solid design elements present in another GE unit from 10 years ago that has been handed down in the family. Mechanically, the door opens easily with one touch and does not need to be slammed to latch. Visibility of the contents of the oven is excellent thanks to a large window in the door and good lighting. The button labeling has good contrast making the controls easy to read. The ergonomics of operation is thoughtful, though you might have a slight learning curve if you are used to another sequence of commands. Oh, and the early results are that it cooks/heats very nicely, though when using the automatic modes, I suggest you check your items when the unit beeps and goes into timed mode; there is a good chance that the food is right where you'll want it temperature-wise and you can cancel the rest of the cycle.
