Is noisy, and fogs up

After cooking any item such as baked potatoes, the glass is covered with condensation so bad you can not see what is on the inside. Open the door and the steam pours out like an incoming fog. The unit is very noisy. The LED does not tell you what is actually going on or what the setting is. It will tell you time left only at the very end, 30 seconds or so. This is about the fifth Microwave of this model that we have had and this one is entirely different.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Chuck 42. Thank you for your recent microwave purchase. It is normal to have moisture on the floor or walls of the microwave cavity while cooking, especially if you are microwaving liquids or foods with a high water content (ex. Potatoes). The moisture will dissipate on its own; however, you can also wipe off the water with a clean, dry cloth. If you are using the sensor cooking feature for potatoes then it is normal for it to only show the last 30 seconds of cooking. We are sorry to hear that it is noisy but will be happy t forward this feedback to our design team future productions. A dull thumping sound or hum while cooking at power levels other than high. When using a power level other than HIGH or 10 the magnetron tube cycles on and off to obtain the lower power. This cycling of the magnetron tube causes this dull thumping, pulsating, or humming noise. When combination cooking in microwave/convection models, the cycling of the convection element and fan will alternate continuously with the hum of the magnetron and the fan. Be safe. Geoff@GEA

Not happy, it wasnt what I really wanted. I just don't like I can't manage what I want in time, especially if I need less than 30 seconds.

1. Press Time Cook.
2. Enter cooking time using number pads. (ex:10 for 10 seconds)
3. Press START.

Not like the one I owned before

When running it is loud. After investigating, we found that it has a horrible vibration between the back panel and the top. Had to put something in between to stop some of the vibration. Also top gets really hot. My other GE just like this one didn’t. Metal cover cheaply made. Keeping it because it our only option. But will find something else when this one quits. I have a feeling sooner than my old one did. Very disappointed with the quality.
