GREAT FEATURES - LARGE CAPACITY

This review is of my original microwave (just unboxed an exact replacement). Used the original for several years before the magnetron failed. Enjoyed and used many of the features, especially defrost. Although large for a countertop, I had the room and appreciate the amount it will hold. If you need one this big, I consider it an excellent value for a few dollars more than many smaller microwaves. Obviously, I am satisfied since I bought the exact same model again.

Unbalanced

We just installed this today and it is off balanced. We needed to put a shim under the front left foot to make it even. I am also not a fan of the aluminum surrounding the front, but we liked the other features. We have not used it yet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It’s got nice features

We bought two other microwaves and needed to return them. The first one that we found that control panel was unreadable. The second sounded like a jet taking off. This GE has so far been perfect. It has nice useful features. It’s quiet. I can read the panel. We've only had it a few days, but so far we're very pleased with it. I especially like to express set keys.

Big enough for my husband's coffee cups

We wore out our 1975 model, and replaced it a day later. A larger size was important. Nice to be able to use my largest casseroles, too.
It took a while to learn now to use the more complex buttons and choices on this machine. It's natural after 2 months.

Heats quickly!

I love this microwave. I bought it to replace our Thermador that stopped working, and I like this one even more. The timer keeps working even when you're heating something, and it keeps beeping until you turn it off (handy for forgetful people like me).
