Noisy

Purchased this Counter top Microwave to replace the GE I had previously that stopped heating. Did not want to wait two weeks for a white one, so bought the stainless steel version. It is very noisy (metal vibration) when operating. I was very disappointed in it's performance in that respect. I would nave returned it, but had destroyed the box it came in and did not think the store would take it back without the box. As a manufacturer, GE should be ashamed to put their name on such a noisy appliance. I have tried to figure out a way to stop the vibration, but have not so far. On the plus side it does heat up food good. I don't know if the white or black versions are also noisy, but I would not recommend the Stainless Steel version of the 2.0 CF GE microwave.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the 2nd same model GE microwave I've purchased. The previous one died after a few years of everyday use. Much better then our Sharp Microwaves
