broken tuntable stem 6 months after purchase

Less than six months after purchase, the cheap, Chinese (Assembled in China) plastic stem that moves the turntable broke.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Flawed design

Electric cord too short to put microwave on a standard island countertop with a receptacle located at the standard height on the wall. It doesn’t help that the cord comes out of the microwave in top left side corner and the plug’s orientation is 180 degrees out of sync with standard receptacle orientation. I have had 4 other microwaves in this same location, including another GE model, without any problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This appliance does not work as it should when useing the special features (beverage boils over at times)also sometimes when you press a button it will not work

I will not buy anything else from GE. We have had it maybe 7 months and it sounds like it is going to blow up. Very disappointed......

Second Unit broken out of the box

This is the second Microwave Oven to fail within less than one hour of actual use. The first one didn't see much use for the first few months- only being used to heat beverages a few seconds at a time, but failed with less than an hour of actual use and was exchanged for this second unit. The second unit failed within 30 seconds of actual use- it makes a loud grinding noise when running.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
