A good middle of the road microwave

I originally bought this model about four years ago. I use it daily as I am a bachelor and have very limited cooking skills. My first microwave served me well, consequently, when my first one died, I bought the same model.

Ridiculously LOUD!

This is the loudest microwave I have ever heard. It could be heard in the next room with the TV blaring. Never heard anything like this before. We exchanged for a second one and it did the same thing. It also had a revving up sound every few seconds; it eased off and then started back up roaring again. Crazy. Returned again. And not that it is a deal breaker by any means but the buttons on this seems to be in weird places.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Design

We were extremely pleased that it fit right into the same space my Bosch had been above my wall oven for 10 years. The speed that it heat items is unsurpassed and the overall beauty of the sleek stainless design is very appealing. The many temp settings and controls makes it perfect for my microwaving needs on a daily basis! Once again GE is a super product!

Replacement Microwave

I bought my first GE Microwave in 1977. It lasted for almost 20 years. I have bought 3 more GE Microwaves in succeeding years. Clearly I have been happy with my GE Microwaves. O love the features and the convenience.

Replacement Microwave

Replaced a Whirlpool microwave that lasted only a couple of years. So far so good! I like the easy clean interior, the instant on minute (1-9) feature, and the quick additional 30 sec. feature as well. Sometimes the microwave can be very loud, but weirdly not all the time. Exterior is easy to clean, has good features that are easy to learn and come in handy. I wish the window was full instead of arched.
