After you press the button to heat, it waits for over a minute to start heating and the door was warped right out of the box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had a microwave just like this one for 9 years. It was damaged so I replaced it with a new one same make and model number. This is an excellent appliance.

Difficult Controls

The unit performs well regarding the microwave, but the touch button control is difficult to use or clear. In one case the unit displays FOOD on the menu with no known response working. Also, the User Guide doesn't mention that menu item or an appropriate response. Pressing clear does not clear the state it is in. The only that has cleared it's state is opening the door.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lasted 18 Months :(

We bought this microwave in April 2020. Today is November 7th and it has quit heating. Oh, it will heat to a very low temp, not enough for soup or anything requiring a higher temp. I did register the product online when we bought it, but I cannot find the warranty info to see how much it will cost to repair. We live nearly an hour from the store where we bought it, so it is probably going to cost a bit. We paid a lot more than we expected when we bought it, but considering it was a GE appliance, we bit the bullet. Today is Sunday, work week is ahead, so chances of us replacing it this week are slim. I grew up with appliances that lasted y-e-a-r-s, not months, so my disappointment is real. Will check the closest city to us that has a big box store and try to buy a decently priced microwave.

Sounds like airplane it is so loud
