The first microwave like this one worked very well until it died without warning. Not a good thing since it only lasted for 3 years. It should have lasted for 10. I replaced it with the same model number only because it is a good model. I took the old microwave apart to see what was wrong. I found that the upper door micro switch was not working so I bypassed it to see if the unit would work, no such luck. There must be some other thing wrong too!

I love that it will fit a 9 x 13 glass pan. I also love the express cooking times. I had a GE previously and definitely wanted that feature again in my new microwave.

My new microwave

I`ve owned 3 of this model. 2 were ruined by no fault of the microwave. The only thing I don`t like about this one is the placement of the display. I never had to bend over to look at it before. Otherwise it seems to be like the others. It did cost a lot more than before.

I really like the feature of the domed back of the microwave. This allows you to place larger dishes in order to cook or heat up food.

exactly what I was looking for

A very important feature that I was looking for is a visual and/ or sound clue that food was still in the microwave. I had a previous brand I tried using for a few days and quickly realized there was nothing to remind you. My 20 year old microwave had just died. That is when I spent several days researching the features I had to minimally have in a new microwave. I downloaded and read product manuals for features. To my surprise there was a lot of new features that were now included in addition to the above must have for me. The add 30 button is great for anything. My frozen garden veggies come out cooked wonderfully.
