It is a good, competent microwave. Pros: Works well, easy to read controls. Cons: cheap construction. Had a loud tinny buzz during use as the exterior case was vibrating against some interior component. Solved by putting some shims to push up on bottom of microwave. Manual is minimal- my four year old manual for the same model was much better

Shortest electric cord ever!!!

This is the shortest electric supply cord I’ve ever seen! Unless this huge microwave is taking up a lot of space on a countertop where an outlet is right behind it, in a “baker rack” for microwaves you better make sure the outlet is at the microwave level or the bakers rack is at the outlet level. Otherwise use of an extension cord/surge protector is needed!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I would amend my earlier review as follows:
I wrote, “The control buttons are hard to press, especially for seniors or persons with long nails.” This has become the dominant issue with everyday use and I am at the point where I wish I had not made the purchase. I measured the pressure with a point scale to be between10-14 ounces to activate a button. Moreover, there is no detent and there is only a small area in the very center of the button that is active. The result is that it takes pounds, not ounces, of painful finger pressure to depress a button. We are now using a pencil eraser to push the expletive buttons. Reliable and useable membrane panels such as this have been available for decades. It is disappointing that a popular brand appliance would choose a panel with such a difficult human interface.
Then there is the display. I wrote, “The display is somewhat occluded by masking which limits field of view”. Actually one cannot read the display unless moving oneself to dead center in front of it. This is a simply ridiculous lack of common sense. It is as if no one ever tried to use one of these before final design. All it would require to remedy would be to open the mask area.
At this point, I WOLD NOT BUY another or recommend to a friend. I am actually very disappointed in myself in bringing this into our kitchen. It happened mostly because we are buying things on line, rather than in-store due to covid. I thought that I had bought the best product available, at the time. Now, we are stuck with a disappointing microwave that is great in every way except when trying to actually use it.
A microwave should not cause anybody to cry trying to use it.
I am moving to one star.
