We had a GE microwave for 13 years, above range and it was a good microwave. It finally stopped working and we had to have a new above range. This one is perfect.

I guess the life expectancy of this microwave is approximately 3 years as I purchased the same model. My purchase is made for size. This model sounds louder and does not heat up as much as the previous.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
