Nice microwave

I like our new GE microwave. However, some of the controls are confusing. I think the controls could be simplified a lot. But overall, I really like the microwave.

Large capacity and quick cooking/reheating

So far so good with this microwave. We replaced a 1.0 cu ft 1000 watt competitor model that was on the fritz. Using this microwave has been like night and day. Cook/reheat times have been reduced by 66% and the heat distribution is consistent. Very pleased with this purchase.

this is my 3rd GE since 2004 l use it every and have found a way to cook healthy with it, l would not even consider buying any thing else!

Touch panel controls

I think overall the unit is very good however the touch controls are a bit too complicated. I find the food specific controls to never be “just right” for anything and the need to touch cook time before entering a time to me is not necessary. I would sacrifice the immediate start of the machine with the touch of a digit, I.e. 1 yield 1 minute cook time or 5 - 5 mins. My preference would be say I want a 4 min and 30 sec cook time, push digits 4 - 3 - 0 then push start. You eliminate the need to push a cook time button.

Cooks FAST!!

Love our microwave, it cooks fast. Baked potatoes used to take my other microwave 20 minutes. It now take lesss that half that time
