This one had better last more than 2.5 years

Love the microwave and the features. Hate the quality. But we could not find a microwave that had the same features as the one prior (and the one prior to that one). Therefore, we are giving this a 3 strikes, you're out assessment. First one was purchased in 2006. Second one in 2019. Third one in 2022. If this one goes south, we will never purchase another GE microwave again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

install took 5 minutes this afternoon, the touchpad has a common layout that is easy to understand for all ages. time will tell to see how well the unit will hold up to a family of two.

I was told by GE this was the exact replacement for my microwave I currently had. I was also advised that I could purchase a trim kit for it, if my current trim kit did not work. Now I am being told there is not a trim kit for it and it's not made for built in. So I now have this mircrowave placed in a giant hold in my counter because I cannot put a trim kit around it. Very disappointed.

Powerful and easy to use

With 1200 watts and 2.0 cu ft of space you can cook just about anything. The control panel is convenient with the pre programmed settings. Overall a well designed microwave. There is one con and that is the fact it is quite noisy. You may want to set it on a rubber pad to reduce some of the vibration.

I bought this same microwave 14 years ago. It has worked fantastic until the other day. It died, it was old and served us well. I was pleased to find out they still sell this model and I didn't hesitate to buy it again.

So Far, So Good

I just bought it yesterday and it is working just fine. Love the size, much bigger than the one I had before and it's 1200 watts. No complaints at this time; purchased the 3 year warranty hoping to not have to us it ever.
