This is a replacement microwave. We loved our old one so much we replaced with the same model! Love the presets & auto timing. Also love the power- fast! Highly recommend.

Needs better instruction book.

At first I thought it was not working correctly because I would put in a certain length of heating time and for a 1200 Watt microwave I thought it was enough but the food would not be heated all the way through. My previous microwave was a 1100 watt and I had to be careful with it because it heated too fast so the lower the heating time the better for the item being heated. Well, I have gotten comfortable with my new microwave and have figured out how well it really does work. So, I may not give you a five star but I won't go lower than a four.

Perfect Microwave Replacement!

This is the second exact microwave we’ve purchased. The first one was approximately 12-15 years old and always gave us perfect service. It’s simple to operate, has all the features I could ask for, fits exactly in the same space as the other, and the price was very reasonable. Would I buy another GE appliance?, you bet your bottom dollar I would! We love GE appliances for their outstanding reputation and performance. Thank you GE and thank you GE employees for producing products that will provide us customers, years of worry free service!

Great features, but problem with the door.

Love the features on the microwave and it is easy to use. This is actually our second one of this model in 5 years. Unfortunately, on the last one the door malfunctioned and it either wouldn’t start, or it stopped in the middle of the timed microwave setting. Sometimes we had to push the start button to get it to cook after pressing the auto cook 1-9 it would turn itself off. Sometimes when the door was shut after taking food out, it turned itself on, which was scary. It was definitely the door that went bad. It wasn’t worth getting it serviced, so we bought a new one. We like the model and bought another one.

Great replacement microwave

This microwave replaces another GE microwave that lasted for 21 years and was a built in. This microwave is the same size and were able to use the same built in cover. This is stainless steel and matches other appliances. Controls are similar and easy to use.
