I bought this seven months ago and without warning, it stopped working. No power, no lights,no microwave.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you haven't already done so, please reset your circuit breaker in your home that provides power to your appliance. This will often reset the internal circuitry within the microwave. You may also want to try plugging another small appliance into the microwave outlet to be sure it is working well.
If service is needed, we recommend scheduling a service appointment with an authorized GE Appliance technician who can accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. Not worth the price - 2nd one we purchased as the first one only lasted approx. 18 mths, the current one lasted 2 years 4 mths - 3 responsible adults in the home. Seems like should last a little longer for the "name" and price. Won't purchase GE again.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to write your review on your microwave. We’re glad to see your post; we have some suggestions we think will help.
Your model has a 30 seconds pad and the Express Cook feature that works for minutes 1 - 6. However, if you desire to choose 7, 8 or 9 minutes, the time must be entered as a Time Cook feature. For example, to choose 7 minutes you would press Time Cook, 7 and then Start/Pause. Details can be seen on page 14 in the use and care guide, found in our following link:

We hope this helps. If your selections are still not working properly, try leaving the microwave unplugged for a minute or two. This will usually reset the internal circuitry.
