Are you kidding me!!!! Bose has a head above the rest for what this little electronic device puts out. The sound from this little device is absolutely UNREAL! It is completely ridiculous this device sounds so amazing. I would recommend this product to everyone. There isn't another product out there where I can hold a speaker up in the air and actually still feel the base and keep a sound like you are inside an enclosed room. Just a fantastic product. I can go on and on, but I think you may get my point. "GO BUY ONE!" Worth every penny!!!!!! I wish there were 2 more stars I could increase the rating with.

Outdoor use

I bought mine a year ago and use it frequently for expanded sound range for outdoor movie showings. Plugs into the projector and does a fantastic job. Deep base and clear sound. Plenty of power to listen outdoor. Absolutely love this speaker.

What does it not do well? Great clarity, volume, bass, battery life, easy of use, attractive, etc. Might quit using my home installed system. I love this thing.

Very disappointed

I had to exchange another Bose item because I couldn't play music without having to stream data (my ISP has data limits). The sound link allows me to use Bluetooth. I was impressed with the sound quality of this product at the Bose display at the store and decided it would be an adequate replacement. Once I got home and installed, I was sorely disappointed. The sound is muffled and volume inadequate. I live in a small house and can barely hear it from an adjoining room when at full volume. This may have been the last Bose product I'll ever buy.

With Bluetooth connections, the volume on the device can affect the output of the speaker as well. So let's start by turning up the volume on your source (phone/tablet/etc.). If it is a computer, there may be some additional audio output and Bluetooth settings that we can look at. For one example, a computer may output HSP (designed for conversations with a headset) instead of A2DP (the standard protocol for transmitting music over Bluetooth).

Another troubleshooting step would be trying another Bluetooth device to compare results.

absolutely love it never write reviews but I have a few bose items never go wrong with their sound or quality. .battery doesn't quite as long as stated only minutes gripe otherwise it would be a 6 star

Beautiful sound with annoying tendencies

The sound of this speaker is absolutely beautiful, as tends to be the case for the Bose products I've owned over the years. Its sound is well-balanced through the ranges of tones, with crisp, clear sound and deep bass.
The biggest problem I have with this unit is the Bluetooth connectivity, and the lack of an app or other interface to manage the devices. I've had significant issues with getting it to connect with either my Macbook Pro or Windows laptops, and altogether too frequently have to reset the Bluetooth devices or the entire unit. It also has an annoying tendency to connect to the wrong device, even when I have a device streaming music.
If this had better management abilities of the devices connected, this would be a hands-down five star rating.
