Amazing upgrade!

I initially purchased the original Soundlink mini and I loved it but needed something with a louder sound to fill my living area. This Soundlink speaker is definitely worth the higher price from the mini. It's not that the mini was bad in any way, but this is much larger and able to produce much better sound. I love the build and solidity of the speaker. It uses authentic materials, which I expect from Bose. As far as sound, the detail and bass response amazes me every time I listen to it. The speaker has what I would call surround sound; it reflects off of my walls in my living room and sounds superb. Another thing to note, the battery easily lasts for a week while listening to it everyday for hours. I feel like Bose underrated the battery life because I'm able to get 20-25 hours of battery sometimes. This is easily my best investment and I love it. I'm able to bring amazing sound wherever I go. On the downside, it isn't weatherproofed. I get nervous bringing it around a pool or to the beach for that reason, however, it doesn't claim to be weather resistant, so it's not the speaker's fault.

Love My Bose

I love Bose and own many of their products including the wave radio.
I think Bose put out one of the best sound systems, "yes they're a little expensive" but we'll worth the money. Because quality means everything to me I don't mine the cost.
For everyone who are having issues, please don't lose faith in Bose and remember every company has a bad day and I think Bose hasn't had many.

Power and Bluetooth Lights

I can't tell when the SoundLink® Bluetooth® speaker III is on or off. The lights don't work on the switches and the switch buttons don't work, they did the very first time I used it but that was the last time.
The only way it will work is when I plug it in, so I can't tell if I'm draining thre battery or what?? I shut off the music by my smart phone. Any ideas to help?
Great sound, otherwise I'm very happy with the speaker. I purchased the cover because I would like to travel with it. I'm not able to since the buttons don't work.

It's a great unit and I went through the generations before this one. I like this design without the flaps you used before. I'm one of the devoted customers that has gone through your products since 1969 when the 901 series 1 speakers came out on the market. Keep up with the good work for the next generations to come.

My best friend!

Bought the device a month ago and it's great , I use it everywhere , depth and volume of sound is perfect , there is only one detail that I do not know if it is common but heard some noise in the treble. I've tried with different devices to see if it was the quality of connection or music and always hear that noise , it seems that something was broken or loose on the inside, it is a minimal almost imperceptible sound, but is present . leaving that aside , I think it's an excellent speaker! I 'm an architect and I use it every day at all times, is light and easy to carry , it's almost like a book, I love it , it's my partner, it's my new best friend!
The next generation should add remote control for convenience. Thanks for your attention.

Compact - Big Sound

Bose gave me a deal to replace my Sounddock with a Soundlink III. The Sounddock put out a good sound when powered up, but the cable connection and dock receptacle were very poorly designed and kept shorting out. The replacement offer was too good to pass up. Sound nearly mimics the Dock. The Link is smaller, very unassuming and has great sound played off my 3rd Gen Nano. The Nano requires an auxiliary cable, which I highly recommend you get from Bose. I bought a cheap one and it provided only one stereo channel. Very happy with the change. Not sure about Link's battery life. Doesn't look like 14hrs. But, is long enough. I wish it came with a remote. Get ne.

Extra ordinary rather than extraordinary.

Overall, this speaker just didn't quite live up to the hype. There are no signifigant problems with the speaker. In fact, it worked rather well, and with good sound quality. The problem I have with the speaker is it is just too ordinary. There is nothing that distinguishes this from it's other price range competitors, and although it's not a bad speaker, I know it's not the best Bose can do. I hope that the following model has some outstanding new features so that I can be much more satisfied with my purchase.
