My favorite piece of technology

I received this speaker for Christmas this past year. It is probably my favorite Christmas gift of all time. The sound quality is amazing, with fullness that never ends. I use this speaker at least a couple of times a day. It is great for folk music to classical and perfect for a dorm room.

Liked it when it worked

I've had this radio for a year and it worked fine. Now it doesn't turn on all the time and when it finally decides to turn on it randomly mutes. Very frustrating. The money that was spent on this and the Bose name had me thinking it would last longer. I have a cheap Bluetooth speaker I've had forever and that still works. Not too happy right now

Awful

Awful connection with MAC OS X. No problems with other bluetooth devices. Big mistake I've made to have purchased this speaker.

Fun to have around, good overall

I bought this a few months ago and was thoroughly satisfied with the sound quality and volume. It is great for watching movies, listening to music, and even listening to lectures or audiobooks. My complaint is that the device shuts itself off quite often. The manual says every 20 minutes if nothing is playing, but it just seems like every time I leave the room I have to turn it on again which is definitely annoying. Pairing is fine. Sound quality is 4/5 for a speaker this size. Price is fine since Bose is a great company that stands behind their products.

Nice sound, Poor design

Sounds awesome, but the charger design is poor as it consumes two outlets/is too large. The audio jack is messed up and causes crackling all the time. Paring only works with Iphone, but not computers (which is a pain)

We are glad to hear that you are enjoying the sound quality of the SoundLink Mobile III, but you should definitely be able to use the AUX input without crackling and pair the system to a computer. The SoundLink III will connect to any Bluetooth audio device wirrelessly, including smartphones, tablets, and computers. By connecting to the 3.5mm AUX input on the back of the system, you can enjoy excellent sound from all kinds of additional sources without Bluetooth.

One thing that may help with the AUX connection is to blow out the connector with compressed air to make sure nothing is preventing a solid contact.

Sounds great if you can get it to work

A power light and better blue tooth connectivity would make this device better.
When you can't get it to play music it's a total guessing game as to what the cause is. The battery life is shockingly week. I have come close to tossing it in the trash on many occasions. It's junk.

having problems

I bought this a a month ago .. and something is wrong with them speaker the music cuts off every 5 seconds .

A good place to begin is with a reset, accomplished by pressing and holding the Mute button for 10 seconds, the LEDs will flash briefly. Press the Power button to turn the system back on and check to see if the issue is resolved.

After doing so, if your speaker is not working properly, we suggest calling our technical support team at 1-800-379-2073 for assistance. Support hours are Monday - Friday 9:00AM to 9:00PM and Saturdays from 9:00AM to 7:00PM EST. We'll have you back to enjoying your music as quickly as possible.
