Bose quality sound

When connect, the sound quality is superb. My only frustration with a speaker at this price is the bluetooth connection. It is hit and miss and often doesn't connect even when asked to do so.

If you are having pairing issues, there are a couple of effective troubleshooting steps that trying.

Make sure the system is on
Press and hold the Bluetooth button for approximately 10 seconds
The system will emit a 'bee-boop' tone, indicating that the stored pairing list has been cleared. The button can be released
Remove the SoundLink from the source device's pairing list (refer to manufacturer for instruction)
Reset the SoundLink by pressing and holding the Mute button for approximately 10 seconds

I used a communication cord plugged into the Aux ports to have a group of people listen to the person calling me worked great.

Bose and what they stand for.

I liked an in-store display of Bose speakers and decided to purchase this product. However the experience was much different when I took it home.
When listening to the audio from Bose speakers, the first thing I felt was heaviness. The SoundLink 3, this speaker, and pretty much every speaker from Bose sound really lackluster. It sounds and feels like they "make" it sound good - sophisticated, whole. The audio, or the bass sounds 'forced'. Bose makes the sound of their products seem substantial.
Buttons feel hollow, feel and sound tacky.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate the feedback. We encourage our customers to try our products at home with their own media so they can hear what the product truly sounds like. However, you should definitely be getting much better sound quality than what you have described. The SoundLink III is our best-sounding portable Bluetooth speaker to date, delivering plenty of volume with rich, deep bass and clear highs. One thing to try is to reset the system by holding the mute button for about 10 seconds until the 3 LEDs flash, then reconnecting your Bluetooth device and seeing if the sound is different. If you are still getting the same audio issue from multiple devices, there may be something going on with that speaker and we would definitely like to help.

Great portable guitar amp

Great way to play guitar on batteries! Plug your guitar into a pre-amp or stomp compression box. Use a 1/4"mono to 1/8" stereo patch cord between the box and the bose. Bring up the volumes to the appropriate levels & play for hours! It won't quite rock Madison Square Garden(unless you mike it), but its good for jammin' around.

We bought it for ourselves for Xmas and have used it daily since. Easy to set up. Almost foolproof. Love the versatility! I am sure you will invent something even better.

Disappointed

The sound is good but the battery is shameless. It dies after 1.5 h at 60-70% volume. On top of that even if you plug it after the battery dies you need to turn it off so the battery can recharge. You don't have the possibility to plug it and keep enjoying the music. It is a real drag during a party!!! My purchase was a mistake it is useless, it now sits on a corner and i don't use it anymore. On top of that the WIFI connection with an Apple MacBook is problematic. Not happy.

The battery behavior you are describing doesn't appear to be normal. You should definitely be able to enjoy the speaker when connected to power and it should last much longer than you are describing.

I bought my bose speaker 3 monts ago and the battery lasts only 3 hours and it supposedly has a duration of 14 hours, what can I do?
I live in Costa Rica.
