Great sound and I mean great !!! Battery life is amazing, I get about 8-10 hours playing it at it's max volume. You will not regret getting it !!!

Good but could be better

Good sounding speaker but not great. I also have the sounddock portable and the SL3 doesnt stand a chance when put next to the sounddock.
I wish Bose made a nylon cover for the SL3 that actually covers the front and back like I have for the sounddock. It helps prevent sand from getting inside the speaker grill holes when at the beach.
All in all its a good speaker for the price.

Best Portable Speaker Ever

I've had this speaker for 6 mos, but just went on vacation,it filled a very large pool area with fabulous sound. I was amazed at the sound quality and volume. I've read some of the bad reviews that others have written and experienced some of the same issues. All issues were resolved via following instructions or simply user error. AGAIN, BEST PORTABLE SPEAKER EVER!!!!

Doesn't Take A Genius To Operate

What an awesome speaker system. Not sure about all the negative reviews. Sounds like they are less adept to setting up the speaker and their devices properly. I had it up and running in less than 2 minutes. Sound is off the charts even at low settings. My living room area is about 1k square feet and it fills the room at less than 1/3 the volume. We have bought other Bose products as well. It definitely beats the pants off Beats!!!

SoundLink III = Amazing Quality and Sound!

I still have my QC-15 headphones, recently purchased the Sound Sport earphones, and upgraded from the SoundLink I to the SoundLink III last week. First off, I enjoy contemporary jazz, R&B, pop, reggae, dance, rock, etc. This speaker paired with my iPhone and Macbook Pro in seconds! Hit play, and I notice how full and balanced the music is, you can hear every instrument, crystal clear! So I took it outside while I was cutting the grass, and "chores" never sounded so good (ha!). Now I'm using it to watch movies on my 27" iMac, and wow!!! Although up at the max volume, it tends to get a little distorted during particular parts of a song where the bass is dominating. Solution? decrease 2 notches from the max, and you're good to go! I love BOSE products! Believe me you'll love these!!!

I've owned probably every packable sound system ever made and this is better hands down. Fantastic sound. Great battery life, goes anywhere. My only complaint is that you can't pair a whole bunch of these things in some great Wall of sound daisy chain, I would like some kind of connecting bridge and then I would buy a few more.

Fantastic product and my only caveat is that when it's connected to my PC, whenever I am attempting to use WIFI to download something from the internet the signal over Bluetooth keeps getting interrupted... Like the WiFi and Bluetooth are competing for the same 2.4Ghz frequency.
