Best Sounding Unit

All in all the unit sounds pretty good. If you're trying to compare it to a speaker system or even a large single tower speaker it's not going to sound as good. If you compare it to other Bluetooth speakers it is by far the best of the bunch. I spent a few days researching different units. There are pros and cons to each. The cons to this are a lack of features, such as speaker phone functions, back up battery charging functions, range, and a few others. Another is the lack on water proofing/resistance. This is not a problem for me. Just means you need to be careful when around water surfaces. The pros, it's a simple, EXCELLENT sounding speaker for a small portable, Bluetooth speaker. In listening to many, it seems like they are either good in the high range and lousy in the low, good in the low and lousy in the high, good in both and lousy in the mid. The point is it seems everything tends to suck somewhere in the range. The Bose unit tends to be pretty decent in all. You simply have to keep in mind this is a small unit. It's not going to blow you away but will blow most competition away in this category. I'm surprised to see the UE mega boom get such high ratings and have such a hollow sound. This seemed to be the unit that gave Bose the most competition. It does have some better features than the Bose but if you're looking for the best portable sound, then this is it. It's also the most practical for carrying around. The more or less flat, square design makes carrying around in a bag easier than the other cylindrical designs out there. The only other unit I found rivaling in sound was the large JBL tube unit (I forget the model). The problem was that it isn't as portable and larger to carry. I'd recommend the Bose unit. Setup literally took 1 minute after getting everything out of the package and not even looking at the user guide. It's extremely intuitive to the point that you really don't need to read instructions (although there are a couple things to get from them like checking the battery status by holding the power button down for a few seconds). All in all id recommend this unit. I paired to an iPhone 6 Plus. It was simple and easy.

Love the BSL III

I use my BSL III everyday and love it! Excellent sound quality like all my other BOSE products. It's hard to imagine using any other brand after my experience with the BOSE brand. I did just begin to have a problem that I believe may be with the charger. The battery light is flashing RED and it does not appear to be charging anymore. I'd like to get a new charger to see if that's the problem, but I can't seem to find where I can purchase one?? Can you help? I don't see anywhere on the website that you offer the charger. Any suggestions?? Thank you.

Great Product

I brought to replace my aging Bluetooth speaker and like the sound a lot. You do get full rich sound at lover volumes. If you turn up too loud you do loose some of the bass. There are features that I would have like to see in the speaker like always on. . . It would be nice to wake up to radio or alarm and having track skip buttons would be a huge bonus.

I received this on my birthday with the blue cover and now I carry it every day! I like the sound quality it offers and how easy is the bluetooth connection with the mobile or the laptop . I'm really happy and satisfied with my SLIII. Greetings from Lima, Peru.

Problems with battery

After 3 days of use, the battery went dead, it is not even possible to turn it on again.

We hold ourselves and our products to a high standard and expect more from them. The system has a one-year warranty and we can definitely help you with that. One thing to try to see if we can resolve it is to hold the mute button for about 10 seconds which will reset the system. If the 3 LEDs flash once, we will know it has reset.

Great sound!

I use it nearly every day and are very happy with the high quality and crystal sound. Perfect for indoor, but also powerful enough for outdoor use. It´s not cheap, but if you like to hear quality sound while you are working, cooking, having fun with your friends or just chilling out, then I can recommend this portable speakers.
