Great player except for the tv controls

Its a good player. The only thing I don't like is the tv control on the remote only works for samsung. tv's. Other than that, I'm happy with it.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: remote only contols samsung tv's

Great Blu-Ray player.

Overall, this is a great unit. I didn't feel we needed to step up to the 3D unit, so this works very well for our needs.
I gave it 3 stars in design because of the lack of power indicator light. I had read several other reviews all stating the same thing and really couldn't figure out what the big deal was... So what if it doesn't have a light to tell you its on? Well, the problem is since we had also used it to sign into our Netflix account, the player was left on overnight and still signed into Netflix which caused a small user sign-in issue. Had there been a power light, we could have resolved this.
There was a firm ware update required, but that was very easy to do and we did it over Wi-Fi very quickly.
The overall size of the unit is nice and compact.
The remote is very handy if you have a Samsung TV as it will pretty much serve as a one remote for both components. -Very convenient for us!
Has a fair amount of on-line apps to use. Netflix being the best one for use. Wouldn't mind if I could get the TWC app on it, but alas that one isn't available.
Overall, despite the lack of power light, for a 2D unit, this was a great purchase for us.
Pros: compact, easy wi-fi, easy to operate
Cons: no power light

great blu ray player

Excellent bluray player with built in wifi. Great internface, easy to connect to the wireless network and setup. Video display is very good with quick loading.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, high quality video

Software update ruins this player

I had two of these and both players updated software. After the update the picture and audio are not synced.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Needs 10 MPS internet connection

Good procuct but I bought it for the Amazon App and other Net centric apps. However I could not get it to hook up to my WIFI, even after many tries. I finally found a statement that the network speed needs to be at least 10 MPS. I live in a rural area and get about 6. Very disapointed in this fact, I should have bought just a ROKU stick in stead.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Did not meet expectations, needs 10 mps internet

A superior product at a bargain price

I purchased this unit to replace an older unit that kept freezing up. I found that it has performed very well. I can watch Blu-Ray or regular DVDs without any stutter or problems and the wireless capabilities allowed me to watch a streamed movie from my service without any pixelation or pausing. I am quite pleased with the unit and would recommend it to friends or family without hesitation.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, great wireless performance
