Excellant fridge

Purchased like many others due to size, needed it to fit a limited space. Also was accustomed to a quality previous fridge that after 15 yrs didn't want to freeze any longer, ran almost nonstop. Another hard to find feature in the size I needed was to get it in white. Most that were in stock in white were either very small or " cheaply built ". The white finish is very smooth, surface and handles wipe down easily. I went to 5 appliance and home improvement stores before finding this one. Most had stainless as the in-stock option. I prefer traditional white, it was hard to find in a product of this quality. This however as well as being available , in-stock( didn't have to wait weeks to get) just had to come from a regional warehouse, was a size that fit without sacrificing quality. I needed the ability to make and store large amt of ice daily, the freezer ice maker does this just great. It did however take 2-3 days for it to start producing ice rather than the 24 hrs as stated in owner's manual. I did not want an in-door water dispenser / ice maker as it would not have been able to store the quantity used daily. They required dumping the ice container into a larger bin for quantity. Too much of a hassle if your filling small cooler daily. I have never owned a bottom freezer before but really like this one, I keep small items in top slide-out drawer, larger divided bottom drawer is huge and because divided it is easy to find what your looking for, I keep meats on one side and frozen veg, breads and ice cream on the other, still with plenty of room. Several people mentioned removing shelf in fridge for taller bottles. For the taller bottles, I positioned the left top shelf low enough to accommodate, next shelf just below it for short items, ( egg, left overs etc ). As others have stated it is very easy to see inside, the LED light is wonderful and bright. Everything is in easy view, and due to depth shelves store as much as my prev 33" GE upgrade model. Love the location of the 3 drawers, use the large party tray drawer for cheeses and deli, produce drawers up @ waist level make it easier to see what is still there, less waste from produce going bad because it was out of sight and forgotten. The only thing I would change that my previous top/bottom freezer/fridge had and this one does not is pull-out shelves. That one feature is helpful to retrieve items from rear of shelves. Since the unit has a lot of space though, I don't often have to move too many items to get what I need if in the back. Overall it is a great product, I spent more than I had planned when I started shopping for new fridge, however quickly discovered that in today's pricing, quality doesn't come cheap. Better to pay now and be happy and satisfied, than regret spending the money and living daily with a product that doesn't meet my needs. Over all very satisfied.
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use

Quiet, Efficient, Plenty of Room

Love the adjustable shelves. Love the large space on the door shelves. Fits gallon size items on every single one, with the exception of the butter shelf.
LED lights are really nice. Bright. Almost too bright because I can't sneak into the fridge late at night anymore without getting caught. LED takes some getting used to after years of yellow incandescent.
Quality of plastic vegetable drawers far better than all other models I tested. I did my homework and researched and hands on tested everything on the market today for ease of use, build and value. The LG came out on top for me every time. My priorities were that it be adjustable, well made, easy to clean, easy to load and unload, spacious, run quietly and, most important, priced well.
Freezer drawers are spacious and I particularly like the covered bottom on this model. I couldn't find that feature on many other models in a price range I was willing to pay. They had basket types that allowed crumbs, ice, small stuff, to fall through onto the floor. Thank you no, I don't want to clean up whenever I open the freezer.
Easy to set temperature control and alarm. Displayed right on the top and easy to see.
Bottom freezer drawer slides closed easily and quietly.
I've no complaints with this fridge. I've had it now for 3 months and am very satisfied. I do wish we had purchased the one with the water dispenser.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

My old refrigerator worked just fine, however, it was a side by side and drove me nuts. I cannot tell you the difference my new LG has made for me. Having difficulty bending and reaching, it has really "opened" everything up. So far, it is the best purchase I have made. It runs quietly and I always have plenty of ice when needed. A very happy camper am I.

Great refrigerator for limited space

I wanted a french door refrigerator but was afraid I wouldn't be able to find one that fit into my 30 inch wide opening. Not only does this refrigerator fit, it looks great, and does a perfect job of keeping everything at the proper temperature. The shelves are easy to move around, and I love the chime that alerts me when I accidently leave the door ajar. The day after it was delivered I had a question that was not answered in the owners manual. I sent an email to LG but since it was on a weekend, I didn't expect to get an answer for a couple days. Within just 3 hours they emailed me with the answer to my question. I was very impressed. I did a lot of research before deciding on this particular refrigerator. I am very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone who wants an excellent appliance but doesn't need all the extra bells and whistles.

All LG Appliances

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an LG Refrigerator, dishwasher, washer and dryer and they alll are terrible. I have used Whirlpools for 55 years and then 4 years ago bought all LG - bad decision. The washer went out right after the warranty was up and it cost over $500.00 to get it fixed. The dryer does not dry the clothese completely. No matter what cyle you use on the dishwasher, it takes two hours to wash the dishes. You can put it on rinse only but you cannot shorten any other cyle they all take 2 hours. The refrigerator freezes all of my vegetables in the vegetable trays and lot of time freezes vegetables and food in the refrigerator compartment. So aggravating. Sometimes the freezer part will freeze ice cream and sometimes the ice cream is soft. DONOT buy these appliances.

Stay Far Away from LG

After doing much research, it seemed that LG refrigerators were a reliable brand. Boy, is that wrong! I bought this model LFC 22770ST/01 (serial # 611MRBW08141) less than 3 years ago and started having trouble with it about 6 months ago. I noticed that my refrigerated food was being frozen even though the refrigerator's digital temperature control was set on 38 degrees. I bought a refrigerator thermometer so I could monitor the interior temperature. I had to set the refrigerator's temperature control on 46 degrees so that it would register between 31-34 degrees inside. I called a repairman, who said the compressor needed to be replaced. Since that is a very costly fix, I finally ended up buying a new refrigerator (NOT an LG model to be sure). There is no reason for this to happen to an almost 3-year old refrigerator. It’s not like there are many people in my household who leave the refrigerator door open for hours on end. Plus, there’s a door alarm that notifies you when the door has been open left open. As other customers have noted, the LG service line is useless. The service department is located overseas, and English is not their first language, so at times the conversation was challenging. After listening to my problem and having me upload photos of my original receipt, I was told they would make a decision in 2-3 business days. The customer service rep was unhappy that I purchased the refrigerator at Sears. Last time I checked, Sears is an authorized retailer for LG, so not sure where they expected me to buy it. Finally, they emailed me that they had reached a decision and that was they couldn’t do anything since refrigerator was too far out of warranty (even though the compressor is guaranteed for 10 years. I guess math is not their strong suite). I will never purchase another LG appliance again, even if I were to buy an extended warranty. This whole episode has really soured me on the company. I have told all my friends and colleagues about my frustrating (and costly) experience with them and hopefully this review will enlighten other consumers.

Works well in our kitchen

This refrigerator, while it pokes out more than the unit it replaced, fits well into a relatively small and sharply defined space. The French Doors mean we have room to open them completely, which for the previous unit was problematic. The shelves are narrower than we were used to, but have very good depth and capacity. The food is properly and uniformly chilled, and the temperature controls are accurate. The freezer lacks a quick-freeze section but works very well. Having drawers rather than wire cage shelves is a big improvement, and is much more accessible. We are pleased with the result.
