Great little projector

This projector was the easiest to set-up that I have ever used! Right out of the box, everything came together and I was using it for a major presentation an hour later. The image it projects is huge! I use it in our church's fellowship hall and everyone can easily see the screen. The image is sharp, true to color, and bright even with ambient light. My only reservation is the speaker. It is not very strong and must have amplification for rooms large than a 30 person conference room.

Great Projector for No TV

I got the projector to use in the yard some time back. But recent changes forced me out of the house with no TV. So I hooked it up to the Macbook Air and projected on the sloped ceiling on the paint that was recommended by a website that tested every kind of screen and found: Sherwin Williams ProClassic Smooth Enamel Satin Finish Extra White is what to use. THIS WORKS GREAT - the 5210 is a long throw and results in great contrast and clarity on my sloped ceiling. Over 100" of TV presentation. No need for a TV at my house- Thanks Epson!! _ this unit does run hot so be sure to rig it on a well ventilated platform- I used a wooden folding dish dryer as a base- plenty of air flow.

Printed Instructions

I guess I am not young enough to be proficient with some of the computer and technology functions that seem to be required to get instructions on how to set up and operate the projector in various configurations. I had a hard time getting the sound to work on the projector (still not sure I can quickly do it the next time I run it) and have not been able to get the sound to function through auxiliary speakers or sound system. It would be helpful to me to have a printed instruction manual instead of just the DVD.

Have used it twice, once paired with a DVD player for First Aid Training and once with a thumb drive directly without a computer. The files were jpeg and worked fine as individual slides...not sure a power point briefing would have worked without a computer. Laptop never arrived so the direct USB drive saved the day. Projector is great, operating manual not so great: Tied to a computer so difficult to access at meeting location. Some tech writing hard to understand with my limited knowledge of computers.

Nice Addition for a Movie Fan

Every once in a while I get the urge to see a movie with a larger than the tv picture. My reason for choosing this one was the fact that it had an HDMI connection, making it possible for me to project my blue-ray films. This worked fine and I enjoyed the result. There were two things that became apparent with usage: there is not specific black level control for crisper blacks and there is no means of getting an audio out to a stronger sound system or speaker. For the latter, if I were to do a presentation for a large group that required sound, I am afraid that it might be too weak to be properly heard. Over all, it's a nice projector and will take care of my needs at home. For it's size, it's a good deal.

Very nice projector

Beautiful clear, sharp and colorful color projection. Sound from on-board speaker adequate. Easy to operate with enough inputs to satisfy most jobs. Menus easy to navigate and they work flawlessly. Would have given five stars if the projector had an audio output to connect to external quality sound system.
