What's great about it: Excellent value, compct, good sound and easy to use
What's not so great: I'll let you know.
This portable wireless speaker has a good sound (especially in a small room) and is very easy to use. It has a rechargeable battery so you can take it with you wherever you want. It holds a long charge and has a blinking light to warn you that the battery needs recharged.
It is so compact that I can move it around the house to listen to music or to enhance my game playing experience when using my iPhone or IPad.
I would recommend this to a friend!

i've been wanting a bluetooth speaker with a rechargeable battery for a while. i thought about buying the jambox, but it cost too much for the sound quality. when i saw the rocketfish speaker i liked its features and price. when i first tried it i was surprised with it's loud sound for such a small speaker. my only complaint is too much bass. it muffles songs a little. but adjusting my eq on my phone helped out. i use it at the beach and around house. overall i'm happy with the purchase.

Sounds great (at medium to loud levels) with volume turned low sounds muddy to much base.
Minimal instructions/ support. Works with Motorola cell phone, and ipod touch! To use phone jack have everything plugged in first then turn on speaker! Tried to plug in with a notebook when unit was already on and thought it damaged computer! Notebook rebooted OK.
Note Blue led light very bright if using in a dark room.
Good battery life!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: size, sound, and price

This thing is great! Full charge in a few hours, paired with my iphone 4 in seconds. 6 3/8" long, 2 3/8" tall, and 1 5/8" wide. Weighs about as much as a cup of coffee and it rocks. For $75 you can't beat it, compared to others at $200 to $300.
The days of the suitcase size boom boxes are gone. Sync it with my stereophonic EQ app, stick it in my pocket and I'm rockin' anywhere, anytime, no wires, no cables, and you can send and receive calls.
Volumes good, sounds great, it can get pretty loud, it's not gonna blow you out of the room but come on it's not a home theater, IT FITS IN YOUR POCKET!
And if I want privacy it's my Motorola S10-HD bluetooth headset, it's great too.

Oh, and I bought it through Best Buy Online Store. Paid for it online, went to the store and picked it up in 20 minutes. No waiting in line, no hassle, love it. If they had a drive through window I wouldn't have even had to get out of my car, sweet.

I was originally going to get the Logitech Mini Boombox, but when my local BB was out of stock, I got this one instead. I'm glad I did. For such a small speaker, the sound is amazing. I never expected the base on these to be so deep. I only intend to use them in a bedroom, or when I'm in the garage working on my car, so not at any times when superior audio quality is important. However after listening to these, I might use them a lot more than I intended.

I got this for my wife as a Christmas present. I may as well given her a lump of coal. The sound quality was poor and I will be returning it.

What's not so great: Not good for larger rooms
Considering acoustic restrictions, this little speaker sounds about as good as a speaker of this size can sound. Kudos to Rocketfish for doing their homework.
However, I wanted something for parties that would fill a room with ambient music and this little guy just doesn’t pack enough punch. It sounds best when it’s about four feet out directly in front of you. It would be perfect for an office, bedroom or dorm.

What's great about it: Nice price, easy setup, good sound for the money.
Out of the box it was paired with my IPhone 4 as I sat in the parking lot of Best Buy. Very easy and simplistic getting them to pair.
Set it on the dashboard and headed home. I played some Supertramp, had windows up and AC on. (FL in January go figure), and my first reaction was that it did sound kind of muddy at the default volume setting, but not terrible I might add. I turned the volume up
to near max and the speakers had no problem handeling it. And actually they sounded less muddy at the higher volume level. Hey really how good are $80.00 Bluetooth speakers supposed to sound??? I buy no means consider myself a pro on Audio equipment but I do think I know what sounds good. I got to try the speakerphone function and the voice clarity was good. Caller on other end could here me just fine. This thing is about the size of a full size universal remote control, so it is very portable, so the speakerphone/handsfree aspect would be good to use when traveling. Bottom line is that, sure there's better Bluetooth speakers out there, heck you can buy the Bose Bluetooth speaker for about $300.00. But don't really have the funds for that now. The jawbone is nice also for $199.00. So I guess the $79.99 I spent, the Rocketfish SPX15 will do just fine for what It will be used for and that is having the ability to hear my music on a portable device without wires, that does sounds good and is functional. My opinion, its not a 5 star product. But it certainly is a strong 4.

Wow, I could not believe the sound that came out of this 6 inch box. For $80 I feel I got more than I could have expected. I was looking for something I could move from room to room and the garage and get a good sound. I did not think i would find anything this small for this little money. The better the equalizer on you r device the better you can make it sound. It has a full music range. Good lows and good highs and clear. I connected two devices (htc phone & vizio tablet) very quickly so setup is very easy. It is plenty loud for what I need (working around the house & garage) and unless you are trying to use it to through a party you should be too. I have not used the phone function so I have nothing on that part. Also have the rocketfish bluetooth headphones and I think they are awesome as well and the phone function works great on them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

On paper, this product is everything I wanted. I wanted a portable speaker which I could take with me when I travel on business so that I could listen to music and watch TV off on my laptop. I plugged in the speaker, and it appeared to pair with my computer effortlessly. However, the audio was not being routed through the wireless speaker, just through my normal laptop speaker. Even when I set my audio playback devices in the control panel to default to the wireless speaker, and disabled the laptop speakers and other playback devices, no sound came out of the wireless speaker. Though a long process which I will refrain from writing out, I determined it was a corrupt driver. I searched high and low, through the rocketfish website, Microsoft, broadcom (maker of the driver), and elsewhere on the web, and could not find the driver. Upon calling 'tech support', I was told that the product didn't come with a driver, which I corrected them on when I read aloud the names of the drivers associated with the product. I asked about firmware, and they said that it didn't need nor come with firmware. This tells me that their 'tech support' people (I spoke to two on two different days) have zero computer knowledge, because drivers and firmware are basic computer knowledge. They basically read off the quick start guide and told me I didn't know what I was talking about. I am a reasonably tech savy individual, and am a good problems solver, my PhD in the very least has afforded me that. I was treated like an idiot and am not happy. I also took the product and my computer in to the Best Buy Geek Squad and they came up with the same diagnosis that I did. Said it was a driver issue, but they were unable to find one either. I am very disappointed, as I really wanted this product to work. But even more so, I am very upset with my treatment by this company and their unqualified personnel .

What's not so great: Range
We bought the SPX15 for Christmas for our daughter. The salesperson at Best Buy assured us that the bluetooth capabilities were substantial and that the speaker would work anywhere in the house including the yard. The initial setup was awesome, the speaker linked up with her IPad within seconds and the sound quality was decent. I walked away from the laptop on an angle and the speaker died within 15'. The speaker did work at greater distances so long as I walked in a straight line. We have an open floor plan in the house with the exception of a stone fireplace. The speaker would die as soon as I went near the fireplace. I called rockefish and the rep said that the the 33' range was only in a perfect world. No guarantee otherwise, not very comforting. Will be returning to Best Buy tomorrow.

I purchased this online, then picked it up. The specs for this list the width as "16.3". I assumed that meant INCHES, and was expecting something several times bigger. It's got decent sound for a speaker that's just a fraction over 6 inches long, and I'm glad to replace my old wired speakers with bluetooth, but for $79??
The tip of the power cord is also different from my iPhone, so it means keeping an extra cord handy at all times, too.
The jury is still out, but I'm strongly considering returning this.

If you are looking for a great sound quality, durability, compact, and price. Get this... It beats the Bose over priced battery bluetooth speakers(unless you just want the brand title price).

went to the store looking for a portable speaker. I had the jambox in mind from jawbone. This device actually produced a higher level of sound but a little less crisp. I was stunned when i heard it. It was 130 less than the jambox and was actually more user friendly. A must have bluetooth speaker!
