Learning Curve with Windows 8
on April 20, 2014
Posted by: MrEd
The PC itself is quite impressive and the general usability of Windows 8.1 leaves something to be desired. It works like a huge tablet or a desktop. I have both a wireless mouse and keyboard and it's great to get rid of all those wires.
My biggest issue is getting used to the "user interface" and knowing how to do basic things. The all-in-one PCs have come a long way.
Once I get past the learning curve and become comfortable using this, I could change my rating.

Economy of Space, Time, and Funds
on April 21, 2014

I was looking for a quick, economical move from my old docked Lenovo ThinkPad running Windows XP after MS announced they would no longer support that OS. With limited funds and a small home office space I turned to the Lenovo C560 AIO. I could not be happier. It has a ridiculously small footprint on my desk, I was up and running within a matter of minutes, and the price was right. The 23" screen is brilliant and this AIO is one of the few I found in my research that allows memory upgrades in the unlikely event I would ever need to upgrade from 1TB memory and 8 GB RAM. Kudos to Lenovo's design team on this one.

I've had this computer for 10 days. First 4 days all was well the last 6 it's a paper weight.
On the fourth day black screen with "no operating system found". Called Tech support followed their insturctions - problem still exists. Three days later received 6 discs that may solve the problem, it did'nt. Tech support sending parts to technician - Hard drive? Waiting to hear from technician. Not willing to take a chance of future problems it's going back to Best Buy.

Fast, quiet, versatile

The option to convert to traditional desktop(tab browsing)was a big help while learning the Win8 tutorials, including speech recognition. The i3 is so fast and quiet with built-in graphics(I'm not a gamer so....) and I am still learning everything this unit has to offer. Love being able to transmit HD DVD's via Bluetooth to the family room flat screen, helping to ease the eyes from cables and so forth. An added note, we added an internet virus and security software program(Kap) and Malwarebytes Pro it hasn't done a thing to the speed while banking, etc. Awesome system and the aio that can be upgraded with a Philips screwdriver was a major selling point. Just buy it, Lenovo will be there for you. i3, 1TB Sata, 8GB RAM, 3GB Cache. Easy to uninstall a bunch of unneeded apps.

Lenovo all-in-one touch screen desktop

I really like the large screen size. The touch screen and the home screen apps are convenient too. It was easy to set up out of the box! I just wish it came with a wireless keyboard and mouse instead of wired accessories.

First Lenovo PC
on May 5, 2014

I compared this PC to other similar models. The fact that it had similar or better features for a better price sealed the deal. I am a little disappointed in the Lenovo Supporting Software. I've had a couple of Sony Vaios and HP/Compaq computers. I've always been impressed with Vaio's maintenance software. However, Lenovo's Support Center falls very short. For one thing, it isn't even up to date and I haven't been able to find an update for it. It's telling me to download programs that are not compatible with Windows 8.1. Then on the Software Update's screen it has the "Check for Lenovo Software Updates" but all then it just says, go to the website for updates. You then have to browse through the website. Tremendously unhelpful!
