Works well as a laptop and a tablet

Overall this works as I had hoped. Can use it as a laptop or a tablet. The keyboard takes a little getting used to as you need to put a little pressure on the keyboard. Not crazy about Windows 8.1 but again it takes some getting used to.

Perfect Casual 2-in-1

I had been looking for a tablet for a few months when my wife finally found one she liked. She got an HP with a removable keyboard. I wasn't impressed with the fact that she had to carry around the other half of a laptop.
The Yoga is great in that it's all together. The keyboard folds all the way around and sits nice and flat on my lap. The outer edges have a nice rubber (or rubbery plastic) to keep it from sliding when I set it up in tent mode (when I'm cooking). It's also a lot lighter than her HP.
The only real complaint I have about it is that it's a tiny bit slower than my old laptop. That being said, my old laptop was a gaming laptop so it was REALLY fast when I bought it. It gets a little warm on the lap so I use a lap pad, but most laptops are the same way. The camera is lower in quality, but I so rarely need it that it isn't a problem.
Overall, I absolutely love my Yoga and would recommend it to anyone looking for a light, thin, folding laptop.

This Yoga is the best fit for my lifestyle. I instruct online and taking the yoga with me where ever I go is such a benefit with all the features of a full pc or application as a reader or tablet. The mouse that works with it is the best design I have ever seen!

Versatile Product

While I don't use the alternate yoga modes often, I find them to be helpful when I am cooking to use tent mode for recipes, stand mode for movies, and tablet for going outside or standing. I use laptop mode most of the time to use the keyboard which has more common go-to button than the on screen keyboard (which could change with a software update I'm sure). I give average on performance and reliability because it usually loads properly, but often takes a long time, freezes when there are multiple windows open, and has trouble waking up when I open the lid. Some Windows applications also take longer to load than I am willing to wait, so I often rely on other programs I've downloaded to the desktop. Perhaps with some hardware upgrades, this model would run smoother? Aside from some slow loading, I think this computer is great. Another perk is that it is so light that I barely notice it's in my bag when I travel with it.

Awesome for on the go!

The Yoga has a great build, and the materials are not overly plastic in feel. The hinge and ability for the tablet to transform is more of a novelty aspect to it, and I personally don't use it very much at all. The screen is great and the contrast is fantastic. The laptop is perfect for web browsing or light work on things like Word. I usually use it in classes as it's battery life is more than enough for my daily use (it usually lasts around 4-6 hours). My one real complain would be the keyboard could be of slightly higher quality. It's a great size and quiet to type on, but it feels a bit cheap and feedback could be more solid. There's also a black rim where the palm rest meets the edge of the laptop, and it sticks up a little, so it hurts my wrists to rest on it for long periods of time. Don't get me wrong though; the price is really great for what you're getting.

love the yoga

I love my laptop. I really like the ability to move it into multiple positions. At night I can read in bed without holding it, which makes it so easy to use.
Being able to use a standard keyboard or use it with touch screen makes it very versatile.

Good for simple use.

I did have a few manufacturing issues that I was able to get traded out of and into a new one but the big problem I kept running into was that it couldn't handle simple programs that I needed for work and project usage. But my guess is that if I could have afforded the bigger model then I wouldn't have had this issue. Otherwise using this device to surf the web was great and obviously the folding feature and touch screen is super cool.
