Great VLogging Camera

I bought this camera 4 Years ago and It I believe it’s the best VLogging Camera around. It is very portable, inconspicuous, excellent video quality, excellent audio, it can be carried in your jean pockets and has a flip out Selfie Screen. I don’t know why Canon has stop manufacturing this awesome product. With more people VLogging and creating YouTube videos, I believe if this camera is still being made, many people will definitely buy it. It will be great if Canon will create an updated version with 4K. I will definitely line up to buy it!!

Excellent documentation camera

Having used may of ultra portable video camera for on location documentation, by far this is easiest and most user friendly ultra portable video camera. The video/audio is excellent and easy to transport into your computer for post-processing. I just wish it has some light weather resistance and also the ability to turn off the LCD screen during recording. I highly recommended for on the go recording.
Pros: easy to use, great quality
Cons: can not turn off lcd during recording

Good Product on the making

I think this little camera is good, but it needs a couple of improvements. Main issues I had was not being able to turn off the screen while I'm recording. The screen is touchscreen so you have to be very careful not to touch anything while you're recording The other problem I had was not being able to flip the screen and hide it while you record. There always a potential for scratching the surface of the screen while recording.
Other than that I think I think it records pretty sharp and easy to carry.

Firmware update needed

Well, after few months of using this camera i'm really waiting for any firmware update. Time-lapse mode - just a joke, Thousands MOV files 1 sec long, really? Why not just a single video or full resolution jpegs? Look at GoPro or other action cameras - you can't find anything like that. Editing in post - just a mess. Time-lapse mode freeze the camera after 30 min shoot. Very long startup and shutdown time. No way to turn off the screen or lock the touchscreen. Menu structure is very wired compare to dslrs (this is my first vixia, sorry). No usb port charging option. No option to get a clear screen, by default like a 80% covered by icons, numbers, indicators, frames, markers etc. Will be awesome to get something in the middle of the portrait and wide modes, even if without stabilization.
