I’ve received this stereo as a Birthday gift in 2016, but until now someone has been accessing my stereo through their Bluetooth which is scary and unbelievable! Please make these systems with an option for you to turn off this option and make with an passcode for your own use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product a few weeks ago and I am impressed with the sound and features of this stereo system. The abundance of sound profiles,Bluetooth ,2 USB ports ,beautiful design and great looks.
The sound is amazing. The bass has good punch and hits good lows. I hear things on songs that I have never heard before. Easily pairs with my LG V30.
I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ALL .

This is not 700 watts RMS
on May 30, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The gauge of the wire is too small to handle 700 watts RMS. The power consumption is 80 watts as shown on the specifications so that means the watts it produces from it will not be 700 watts RMS. The boxes for the speaker/subwoofer will not handle 700 watts RMS. The tweeter is cheaply made. The magnet size of the speakers can make me tell that it doesn't make 700 watts RMS. There is actual wood inside of the speaker box to add weight to it, to make it seem like the big deal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Who makes a stereo without any way of using headphones? What kind of dumb move is that?

great l'il system

I bought this a few days ago the shipping was super fast, and it's as advertised.....of course the 700w is a little misleading because they take sum of both speaker. It has a deep rich bass with different EQ levels to fit your genre of music. I use it for tailgating and small gatherings. The back of the system looks cheap but the sound it produces makes up for it. A+

Great sound in a compact, affordable package

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was the "product consultant" for my 90-year old Mother in Law. She was a professional singer in her earlier years, and had several recordings of hers and some friends' performances that she'd been trying to listen to on her TV speakers, using a DVD player.
She was totally spoiled by having heard them by listening to my brother's system - a high end, audiophile setup - some years ago. He had taken old tapes and tweaked them as far as they could go to clean them up - and, according to her, sounded wonderful on his gear. But hers really didn't measure up, at all.
So, for years, she's been bugging me to take her shopping to buy a sound system. As I'm a bit of an audiophile myself, and had some experience in selection of components, I thought I could at least guide her to something which wasn't ridiculously expensive, but also not "cheap" - so we set off to Best Buy.
We took along production CDs as a reference point, as well as the CDs resulting from my brother's massaging of the tapes, and CDs her friends had sent her. Of course, this is not a high-end component system, which meant that it was in an open area of the store, subject to all the ambient noise. We looked at all there were available and determined that this unit likely was the best, if not for anything else other than the power of the amplifier, nearly 10 times that of the closest other.
So, we put in one of the production CDs to see what it sounded like. We were pleasantly surprised - even with all the store noise, it sounded great. The woofer particularly seemed to enhance the performance, and the ventilation tubes on all of the speakers helped the sound cut through the background noise.
Onward we went, to her CDs. Surprise! They, too, sounded great. I presumed that the ambient noise masked the trash noise she'd been hearing on her home TV system, so I was cautiously optimistic when we took it home.
Installation was very straightforward; as a previous component-kinda-guy, I instantly understood what was necessary to make the connections, but I also think that the instructions are entirely adequate for someone who has never connected a speaker or an antenna before. Our installation was physically challenging, but that had nothing to do with the system's qualities - merely that the space available for the components required some disassembly, and lifting over of, the TV shelves; once the bass speaker was in place, the shelf was slid under it, and the regular speakers slid in the ends.
Now...
What happens when we have a quiet environment to listen to the same, previously noisy, CDs? Ahhhhh. Like being in the front row. The sound is great. I was prepared to be disappointed, but instead am delighted with the quality of the sound from the system.
We had chosen Best Buy as the most likely place to find such a system. When we entered the store, we asked the greeter where to look for the type of system we wanted. He pointed over to the shelves we eventually found ourselves in front of, saying, "Check out the LG system. It's on sale, but it's great!"
He was right. And, not only was it on sale, there was a $20 coupon for that system. In the end, with the amplifier specifications grossly exceeding those of the other units available, from perhaps half as much to over double the cost, and the great sound we heard in our test, we didn't bother with the others.
We love it.
About the only quibble I have is that the volume knob and controls is both contrived (visual impact) and flimsy. It will displace (move off center) with very little pressure, and as it's a thin plastic, I fear for its survival; I didn't take it off to see about how robust the stem was to the volume control, but I suspect from the movement of the 'knob' that it might be bit of a weak point as well. That said, there has been no issue with that, and as her usual modus is to use a remote, it's entirely possible that the control will rarely even be touched.
All in all, a great system. I'm pretty critical (engineer type) and I like it.
