It takes really great photos and easy for me to carry around. The tablet part isn't great! Hard to upload pictures to some apps and pictures can't be synced to Mac computers
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display

Everything I need is now available on this wonderful and simple to use camera. No need to go from one device to another i.e. computer, camera, camcorder. It's all on this camera. Which features a very VERRY large screen for easy viewing. The best feature is that you can email or text a picture immediately after taking it. It's also very light weight. Go buy one NOW. You won't regret it.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Explore alternative imaging

For years, I've thought that conversion to Black & White (monochrome) was best done in post-processing, and that filters and special effects were at best goofy gimmicks - and certainly only to be done in post.
Then after lusting after a monochrome-only digital camera from another manufacturer, I began experimenting with in-camera monochrome with various cameras, especially my Samsung DV150F, and then a Samsung NX mini. It made a wonderful impact on my "seeing," and in my day-to-day enjoyment of photography. So I began exploring shooting with other effects, especially the DV150F's "cartoon." That made an even bigger impact.
So I bought this Samsung GC200 in order to explore the huge variety of options in live-view filters, effects, etc, available in Android.
Generally, it has been a great success: The camera delivers excellent results, and there are a LOT of Android apps that work very, very well on it, as well as many, many more that are at least functional.
The image quality in "straight" camera mode is quite good, though obviously not up to (e.g.) that of the Samsung NX mini, with its larger 1" sensor. With the cartoon or watercolor or sketch effects, the lower image quality becomes largely irrelevant - and certainly exceeds that provided by any conventional cell phone.
The biggest hassle has been due to the limitations of the 8gb of internal memory, of which only a tiny fragment is available after system demands and preinstalled software. Clearing out bloatware, moving apps to SDcard, configuring apps to save images to SDcard, more-or-less keeps things functionall. Unfortunately, not all apps will save to SDcard - even if they say they will, they often save to "emulated SDcard," which is in internal memory. Finding an automatic file mover app to quietly move images from internal to external is dealing with that.
Another frustration is apps that don't handle the GC200's physical camera controls - even though the cameras zoom controls function for volume in non-camera Android situations, I haven't found an app yet with a "use volume controls for zoom" option that actually works. Several do detect and use the zoom controls (some with issues, some quite well), which proves that it is possible for apps to work properly. Worse than zoom issues are those camera apps where pressing the camera's physical shutter release exits the app & opens the default camera app.
While carrying the camera while it is turned on, unexpected actions are the norm, as fingers brushing the screen cause unintended behaviors. I wish the screen didn't extend quite so close to the edge opposite the front grip. I am trying to learn to carry the camera by top and bottom, instead of ready-to-shoot.
But the negatives don't rise above the foible & eye-roll categories, and are far outweighed by the positives. I have several cameras currently in active use, but find the GC200 claiming a place in my jeans pocket more often than not.
Recommended for anyone wanting to explore creative in-camera imaging alternatives,
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Lightweight, flexibility
Cons: 8gb is too little

I have Nikon D3 and we are headed for England and France and did not want to carry the weight of the Nikon with a heavy lense, I done a whole lot of comparing for two months and having the Samsung Phone this camera fell right into place, for a 78 year old the ease of operation is really easy, try one...
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight, easy to operate...
Cons: need 1080

This camera is a great combination of a camera & tablet. We took it to Europe and took some really great pictures. The Panorama function was great. The Erase mode, which erases people out of the photo when they walk in front of you, was wonderful for trying to take pictures at busy tourist sites. I was able to get photos that no other person in our group could get. The different scene and lighting settings allowed me to take perfect photos in so many different settings with the touch of a finger.
The best part was that I could edit and share my photos instantly with my family and friends. We just used the free WiFi at most places to connect, upload, and share pictures quickly. This camera even took better pictures than my husbands very expensive model. I love this camera and will keep it for a long time!
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, easy to use menus, professional camera features
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this camera, because I love taking pictures, however, don't always want to carry my bulky Nikon camera. I love the fact that it is small enough to fit in my purse and that is is small when I wear it around my neck with a strap. The camera has several picture shooting modes which I use and really like. It has a great zoom and is easy to use. I love the action mode I took many shoots of the kids diving ,and the shots came out no blurriness. The camera even lets me save the pictures in different folders which I use to keep my family photos separate from my other photos. All the photos I take are automatically uploaded to my dropbox account, so I can easily view the photos online, on a computer and on other devices, making photo sharing easy. Although, it says I can text from the phone it cant get it to work unless i access the web version of my text messaging app, but that is a pain so i don't really. I end up accessing the pictures on my phone and texting from there. The camera has more features which I have yet to use, but I am generally happy with what I use. My camera came with an extra battery, so battery life has notbeen a problem for me.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Lightweight, several shooting modes, great zoom, large display
Cons: texting does not work!!
