Very easy to use, I can take it outside when we family gatherings, the flavors are a bit off, but they are still good, the carbonation does not last as long, but I usually don't let my drinks sit for to long a time. Overall I think it's a good value for the cost

Fantastic Product

I bought my Sodastream nearly five years ago. I use it multiple times (2-3) a day and have never had a problem with the unit. I had been a loyal Diet Pepsi drinker for 30+ years when I decided to take a chance on sodastream. It took a little while to get used to the difference, but after a short while I was hooked. I now prefer the flavor of Sodastream and appreciate that it does not contain any aspartame. Not only would I recommend this to a friend, I've had several friends and family members purchase them after either trying mine or listening to me rave about the product.

Cheap construction failed

We owned and used the Genesis daily with no problems. My husband purchased the Fountain Jet as an "upgrade" and it was much more difficult to use. It broke after only a few months and we have reverted back to the Genesis. This was a complete waste of money and time/effort.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had my Fountain Jet for about a month and just ran out of CO2. Maybe 20-30 bottles. I will get the CO2 refilled or replaced and try again.

I bought this a few weeks ago because I was finally guilty enough over the many plastic bottles of sparkling water I recycled each week. My sister has had a SodaStream for years - she swears by it and now I do, too. We drink more water now than before. I do suggest getting at least one extra water bottle (2 is better) and an extra 60-liter gas canister so you never run out.

This is a replacement for the glass bottle model I have had for a few years and I already appreciate the larger bottle size. Most attractive is that it will take the larger CO2 canister. The "buzz" on this model is so subtle I didn't think it was charging at first; don't expect it to be very loud. It was very different from any other SodaStream I've used. Also, it's taken me a while to master my hand placement to get the right angle and rotation to screw in the bottle for charging. This sounds silly, but I'm not a clutz and it wasn't immediately apparent to me.

I received my Sodastream - Fountain Jet about a week ago and so far so good. The directions are easy to follow and so far I have enjoyed the soda mixes that came with this starter kit. So far this starter set is working out great for a occasional soda drinker such as myself. I can make just enough soda to last a little while without the clutter of regular soda cans or bottles taking up room in my fridge.

I got this as a Christmas gift, and in order to carbonate the water, it uses more CO2 than stated on the box.
