Only version with twist in bottle and 130L bottle

I have 3 versions of sodastream and the snap on has been a major disappointment: the seal will weaken and the gas will leak while filling. Stick with the twist on. In additional always look for the larger bottle capacity (130L vs 60L) so that you won't be running to the store to get an exchange. This model, the Jet, has both and is a good value.

New, sleek design, great to look at, but less user friendly than old unit. Tilt head feature is somewhat unwieldy. Nozzle seems less powerful. Needs several more squeezes to sparkle the water properly. Still, basically satisfied because it transforms our tap water just right.

I bought the SodaStream Jet starter kit about a month ago and have used it almost everyday since. In addition to the starter kit, I also purchased the larger canister of CO2 and a couple 1/2 liter bottles. I use the 1/2 liter much more frequently than the 1 liter since it is the perfect individual size. Be forewarned, it will take a bit of trial and error to figure out how many shots of CO2 to suit your carbonation preference but that's just a matter of practice. Also, if you use the SodaStream flavoring drops, which I do, there is a bit of trail and error there as well. All to be expected since carbonation and flavor tend to be personal preferences.
Also, the carbonation does not last as long as some say but certainly long enough to enjoy a 1/2 liter drink. For a person who has pretty high expectations of any product I buy, this one passes the test so far. In fact, I just mentioned to my wife last night that I was really enjoying having the SodaStream. The unknown is longevity of the product. It is pretty simple with few moving parts so hopefully it will last quite a while. I rated the product a 4 because I am very pleased but couldn't quite go a 5 without some experience on long term quality.
