Worth the money, but upgrades might be worth it to

I love this product. I really really do. The only thing is i wish i spent the extra 10/20/30$ to get an upgraded one. this one is super basic and manual, but does a great job. You have to manually push the button on the top a few times to carbonate and sometimes it is a bit hard to push. I do wish i got an automated one, But don't let that detour you from buying a soda stream! they are so worth the money! *** A huge plus is it doesn't need batteries or to be plugged in so if you really wanted to you could bring it anywhere and in any room! ***

Doesn't fizz the way my old one did

The first one I got didn't work at all. Second one they shipped in its place works only intermittently. Brand new CO2 put on it because it stopped working and it didn't work with that after one time it did. Then I put the old one back on and it worked again for a little bit. But you need to use tons of CO2 to get any fizz and it doesn't last. I had their first model for years and years. I thought this would be an improvement but no one in my household wants to even use this one. It doesn't work well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought my Sodastream few weeks back after unsuccessful attempts to purchase a unit that would hold the 130l tanks locally. The unit works as advertised, but the instructions are vague and may not match the product that you get. For instance mine does not make a buzz at any point in the dispensing process necessitating a small learning period. Also when they say short bursts they mean it. If you just hold it down it will freeze up and not make the amount of fizz that you want. Otherwise very satisfied.

Love Ours!

We LOVE our Soda Stream Fountain Jet! We have had ours for approx. 3 years. Being diabetic, it was important for us to have a way to make sodas that were sugar free but did NOT contain aspartame. Soda Stream was our solution. We also buy the "non-diet" varieties for when family and friends visit. They all comment how much tastier our sodas taste compared to the store bought "brand name" sodas. Most leave saying they are going to "look into" this Soda Stream thing. Great company with great products. Don't worry about it, buy it, save money, an quit lugging those store bought 2 liter sodas into the house!

I bought the Jet to replace my older model Soda Stream which wore out after 2 years of use. The new Jet is quieter, which is nice, however, it doesn't seem to deliver the same volume of carbonation per pump as the old one, and after half a glass the water is 'flat'. It is also more awkward to place and take off the water bottle. I'm sorry the old model didn't last and sorrier still that I couldn't just replace it and had to go with a new (different) model.

I had two original soda streams that I loved and used regularly...and still do one of then. I had given the second one to a friend. Needing a replacement I tried to purchase a new one. In an effort, I am assuming, on your part to upgrade and improve, this new model does not aerate as well as my originals. I am very disappointed in its performance as well as the fact that it came with only one bottle. However after two previous purchase attempts and returns due to ineffective connectors, I don't have the energy to return this. I am very disappointed in the ease of use and performance of this new model. It allows the gas to escape which will require replacing the cartridge more often.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
