Very satisfied

This is my third HE washer in the last 10 years, so I was concerned that this product would be another disappointment. So far, I have been pleasantly reassured. This washer handles larger loads than the first 2, is quieter, and the clothes are cleaner!! I just hope it lasts longer than 4-5 yrs.

The LG price at the time of purchase was the deciding factor when shopping for our second HE front loading machine. After reading the reviews on front loaders, the mildewy odor on the rubber seal and door was a common complaint including ours. Obviously with the water vertically against the front door throughout each cycle, mildew is bound to build up without proper maintenance and cleaning.
After using the LG for 4 weeks with our large family and tons of loads, everyone is pleasantly surprised with the many features available on such a simplistic looking machine. The wash time adjustment based on load size is awesome plus the varying speeds for spinning was never available on any of our previous machines. We may be a few steps behind in technology but getting a machine with these features for the first time is very cool.
As far as possible mildewy odors, LG took care to remind users to wipe down the door and use the magnetic stopper so that the door is prevented from closing completely to air out. Very clever . . . .The "Tub Clean" cycle is another feature that is so unique to us and very considerate of LG to include. Simply an incredible easy-to-use washer and highly recommended.

Don't buy this one!

I bought this washer a little over a year ago and I cannot get the smell out. It smells horrible and I have been meticulous about leaving door open after loads and cleaning it out thoroughly. I have tried using a tub cleaner multiple times. I had a traditional top-loading washer for 20 years and never ever had it smell. It is so bad that I just want to get rid of it.

Not happy at all!!

We have had our (Model WTW6200SW) LG washer for about 4 or 5 months now, and we have had nothing but trouble with it. Never goes through a load without stopping with some error code, and that sometimes takes me several trips downstairs to finally get it to finish. I decided to do the Clean Tub function before I started laundry today, and I've been trying to get it to go through this function for about 4 hrs. now and haven't even gotten it to spin the water out in order to start my laundry. We had a service technician out once for this and thought it would be fixed but we went about a week and everything started all over again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

MOLDY SMELL IS TERRIBLE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this washer for a few years and it has always smelled no matter what I do. I would have to leave the door open all the time to reduce the mold and that isn't possible because of the location. Once it stinks, there is nothing you can do to get rid of the smell. I have called LG and they act like they have no idea what I'm talking about.

Great value, features, performance!

I have to admit that I bought LG when my old washing machine died and LG was highly recommended by my daughter. I went online and compared features of different models along with prices and landed on this model. It has surpassed all my expectations. It has many options for size load, agitation speed and temp that my old machine didn't have - uses very little water but the clothes always come out clean. It will figure everything out on it's own or I can bypass and choose a different temp, etc. It's also quiet! I highly recommend it. I did get the pedestal and like the higher loading height. We were also eligible for an energy rebate with this model.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, energy smart

Machine washes like it should but after a short while the mildew/mold odor is overbearing. We have tried all the aftermarket remedies with limited success. We long for our old top loader.
