Not an extra large cap.

Lasted only 5 yrs , spins makes a clunking noise then burning smell. Cost more to fix then what I bought it for. It is not extra large cap it is a medium will hold twin comfort only

We had purchased an earlier model...and still use at our primary residence. This LG washer was purchased as a replacement for tacky/old/inefficient one in the condo. Since we've used/loved LG washers and dryers before...there was no question that we would be repeat buyers. We even recommended it/them to our realtor.
I can see the positive differences. It's quieter still, there is much less water/condensation on the front and between the rubber gaskets. Therefore, it's much less likely to have mold/smell, etc.
It is efficient in that it uses much less water than a conventional washer...and it does a phenomenal job
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, repeat buyer

Love my washer!

I love this washer and use it just about everyday. It gets my clothes much cleaner then my old washer and i actually enjoy doing laundry. I was already using HE detergent and didnt even realize it, but this washer uses such a small amount per load I am actually saving money on detergent. Uses very little water too. I was worried because some reviews said that you had to dry the seal after each load but I just leave the door open until it is dry and there is no problem. Highly reccommend this washer.

There's nothing about this washer I don't like, it's beautiful, it's quiet, it's easy to use, it works great, I love the music it plays at the end of cycle. And it makes my wife very happy.I owned an old washer,this washer has the wow factor, does everything with a few pushes of the buttons. I save on water and save on detergent. I also own alot of LG products, tv's, dishwasher, refrigerator, but this is the one of the best, with the LG dryer.

I'll admit I was a little overwhelmed when we first got our LG. I hadn't bought a washer in over 12 years and a lot had changed since then. A lot more options for washing our clothes. I read a lot of the available reviews and wondered if I'd have the same problem with the Washer I got. Well, I needn't have worried because a lot of the things people were complaining about were just their lack of reading the manual! I saw all kinds of complaints about not being able to open the door to add something to the wash that had been left out. Well, the door unlocks just fine if you repress the start button, have patients for about 3 seconds and then you hear the door unlock and there you are! Anyway, This may sound silly but of all the features our machine has my absolute favorite is the 15 minute wash cycle! Woohoo! When you want to wear something you've had in the closet awhile and it just doesn't smell really fresh any more? Just pop that baby into the washer for that 15 minute wash and hit the dryer and you are set! I love it. Great for delicates that don't need to slosh around in soap for a long time too. It's better for a lot of your delicates. Well, I love all the options on our new machine now and can't say enough good things about it. Hope you find your match like we did. P.S. Love the musical sounds when dialing in your wash options and when the load is done! Giggles!

So Far So Good

My wife and I love this washer for our regular laundry. We didn't feel we needed the "steam" cycle and didn't want a whole bunch of bells and whistles. However, being able to put in a pre-wash AND extra rinse without having to do each step manually is super nice compared to our last washer. The WaterPlus option is also super nice.
Only concern has to do with the load sensing. Since it uses the "load sensor" to determine how much water to use in the wash cycle, I'm always concerned that it won't use enough water to adequately dissolve the detergent. Even when I CRAM the washer with clothes, I can only get 3/5 bars to light for the load. Do I need to put in lead shot? My goodness what does it take?! However, the good news is that what used to take two loads in a water-wasting top-loader is now just one load in this one.
All in all, I don't think we could be much happier.
