Really wanted to like this washer. This is my first front loader and I chose a front loader based on the superior washing performance of my daughter's front loader (different brand though). I am only using HE detergents as prescribed and using the settings appropriate for each load.However,the whites come out dingy gray no matter what I do. Have had to resort to soaking the whites in a bucket before washing! I feel this purchase was a huge mistake. I also do not like how long a load takes to wash.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great machine

I really like this machine especially the Speed Wash. I would have given a 5 in overall rating but it is a bit noisy. I have it in an enclosed area so that muffles the sound. I would like to see two modifications. An independent rinse and spin cycle and add something to lower the noise level during the spin cycles. Otherwise it cleans your clothes and spins them so efficiently it's hard to tell the clothes are wet!

I do love this machine. However, I hate the time involved for required cleaning of the gasket. My prior front loader, LG, had a serious mold issue on the gasket and to prevent this I'm following the manufacturer's instructions. Now I think I should have investigated the top loader more.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great washer for the price

We replaced a ten year front load washer with this model and what a difference! The front load technology has come a long way in ten years. It was amazing to see how much cleaner the clothes came out on the special cold wash cycle. We are very happy with our purchase.

I like the ease of use and over all functions.
I can do basic one button wash or control options wash.
The tub is good sized and shiny after many washes with no flaws.

The only thing I hear is a squeaking noise from the rubber gasket at the door as tub is spinning.
Not sure if its normal or something to be concerned of in future.

Love how quiet it is

We moved into a small house with the washer near the living room. Our old front loader (different brand) was very noisy. This LG is so much quieter. Hard to imagine we put up with the old one so long.
Also love the tub cleaning cycle. Just add a cleaning tablet, turn on the machine and an hour later the tub is spotless and smells fresh.
The pump suction strainer is also a wonderful idea. No more broken pumps because of paper clips and pennies.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a great washer. I've tried most of the cycles and they do what they say they will do. Washed everything from comforters to a very tiny load of extremely dirty cleaning cloths with perfect results. It also uses far less water and detergent than my old machine. Read the manual and follow the instructions for keeping the washer clean and smelling good and you'll have no problems.
