exceed our expectations

This appliance has amazing performance levels. The wash,rinse and spin cycles are incredible. It cleans, rinses and spins far better than any other machine we've ever owned. This is our second front-loading washer and we are much happier with the LG.

This washer came with our new house

We recently bought a newly built vacation home and to our surprise it came furnished with this washer and matching dryer. They are wonderful and do a great job!

Rethinking my decision

I like the product, don't get me wrong, I feel it is built well and appreciate the motor's ten year warranty.. My issues are with the lack of water in the wash cycle and not being able to select the load size myself.
The machine's auto sensing feature is too lenient. I have loaded it with six men's (34x32) denim jeans and four of my teenage son's (28x28) denim jeans and the machine still "senses" only a small load. Another instance is bath towels. I purposely waited to get a large load with ten large towels, five hand towels and 15 wash cloths: the machine only recognized it as one level above small (two bars illuminated) load, this was Not a medium-small load by any means.
The only way I could get the machine to change the load size was to let the cycle start, wetting the clothes, then reset the machine and even then, it only "sensed" a medium-large (three bars) load. In fact, no matter how many clothes I put in the machine, soaking wet or not, I have never seen it register a large load (four bars).
Yes I know there is the "water plus" feature to add water to the cycle, but in all honesty it really does not add that much water. Certainly not enough to justify the increased ten minutes added to the total cycle time.
The machine and it's door seal can handle extra water I'm sure, why are the settings so low during the wash cycle? The "rinse and spin only" cycle uses a good deal of water, a water level I wish the clothes could wash in all the time. I have even ran a load through the machine by just using the "rinse and spin" cycle only, just to have extra water with my clothes. The downfall of that is (for some reason) the machine will only use warm water in this cycle.
While I can appreciate your efforts to help consumers conserve water, this machine uses so little water to wash clothes that I wish I had not bought it and could trade it out for one that gives me, the end user, the capability and freedom to select my own load size and water level.
Lastly, I sincerely believe this is any easy fix and wish your engineers/programmers would change the unnecessarily low water level settings and load sensing ability, then put out a software patch via the "smart diagnoses" feature.

Best Washer Ever

I had previously owned a front load washer and loved how it cleaned my laundry with very little water. But this washer is 100% better than my previous one. My clothes come out cleaner than ever and the water usage is still very low. And the best part of all is that I cannot even tell when it is in its final spin. My previous washer would shake the entire house and this LG is so balanced that there is little to no vibration. Highly recommend this washer.

LOVE this washer!

I love this washer - granted, I came from a really old 1990 model and this is my first modern washer. I did my research to find a quiet model in my price range, and this was perfect. We have no door to our laundry area and this doesn't cause excessive noise like our old one did. I love the load sensing technology and the song it sings at the end. Doing laundry has never been easier for me. I generally use the speed wash setting because the others seem unnecessary. The tray for detergent and fabric softeners is really well designed and easy to clean. Make sure that you wipe the rubber seam down after using and let the door stand open for the day to prevent bad odor. A++++

Excellent machine

When we first got this washer, my kids and even my husband were all caught sitting in front of it watching it work. It is remarkably quiet, uses much less water, and has many different options. Our water, and electricity bill dropped dramatically.
