Great machine, but has long wash cycles

This washer has been excellent at cleaning my clothes. It also spins them to near-dry, making the dry cycle much shorter. I have two issues with the machine, though. First, the cycle times are incredibly long. It seems like the loads will never finish. Second, the pulsating fill operation was causing the pipes in my house to clank and bang. The on and off action, coupled with the water pressure, was putting a hurting on my old plumbing. The easiest way that I found to address the issue was to throttle back the faucets to the machine. With re-adjusted pressure, the filling cycle no longer rattles the pipes.

This clothes washer is stingy with water,

The 2250 CW does an excellent job of cleaning dirty farm clothes with a minimum amount of water. It would be nice to be able to start it at any stage of the wash cycle . . . eg: to just spin dry or start at the rinse, not a big deal.

Excellent High Tech Front Loading Washer

We bought this washer based on Internet ratings and reviews in order to replace a 13 year old top loading washer that started leaking. The technical features and efficiency of this new LG front loader is like comparing the quality of a CD to an old Phonograph record when comparing it to the old top loader that we replaced. It uses very little water or detergent so is much better for the environment. It cleans the clothes as well as the old technology but is much easier on the material compared to the beating the old agitator used to dish out. The only problem is the vibration that occurs during the spin cycle which at times feels a little excessive. I used 2 levels to make sure the machine is perfectly level and installed the non-skid adhesive pads to the floor that comes with the machine. The vibration is markedly improved but bulky items can cause some imbalance during the spin cycle which we are now aware of. The machine is well designed, solid, easy to use, has more than enough features and cycles for our needs, and we now can't wait to do the laundry.

We are so pleased with our washer. It is so quiet we don't even know it's running unless we cut the TV off. It cleans our clothes better that our old top-loader and is so easy to operate. We stacked the washer and dryer and were amazed at the little vibration, almost nil. Also this washer/dryer combo is so attractive. We were very pleased with the cost.

Best Washer out there

This washer is by far the best one I have had. I know friends that have front load washers from other manufacturers and this one is a lot better than those. Very easy to use and has great features. Spins the clothes so good it doesn't take half the time to dry them than it used to with the other washers. I would highly recommend following the manual on cleaning the washer and using the magnetic bumper to keep the inside dry between washes.

I have been using this washer since November and have been pleased with its washing performance, its ease use and several wash settings. I have had no issues with it getting my clothes clean no matter how dirty and the high efficiency is great on my water bill.
