I bought this washer about 5years ago and the biggest problem is the odor. There was apparently a recall on this washer about 2 years ago and we have yet to hear anything from LG corp. The washer is still working fine, but having to clean and drain the washer after every use to prevent that odor is definitely a pain in the butt! I want to clean my clothes not the washer itself. It sucks because this washer could easily get a 4 star rating because it is very user friendly and reliable, but the fact that it doesn't self clean knocks it down to a 1 star.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
