A Real Lightweight
on May 3, 2014

I first had some reservations about buying a TV over the internet and having it shipped to my house, but I "bit the bullet" and proceeded in placing the order. To my pleasant surprise, TV arrived quicker then I thought it would and all in one piece. I was shocked at how light it is compared to my Samsung which is the same size. The installation instructions leave a lot to be desired, as far as being clear to understand, and covering everything thoroughly and completely. Over all, the picture is great, especially compared to my other TV. The sound is about average but I don't expect that a TV that thin to have a great sound system too.

TV is great and really liked it, I know its a low end model but the best in the low end ones... with smart tv and especially simplicity in connectivity...the best.
Only would be great if come up with a good remote.

on October 31, 2014

This is good TV but, on the specifications shows that it have Motionflow™ XR 240 but, the tv doesn't have the option, and visualy it doesn't show you a "real life movement", when i put a movie, it reproduces at 24 fps vs my samsung tv that reproduces the movies very smooth.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The TV lasted 6 days and the screen went to shadowy and all scenes were filled with reflective shadows.

Hello, we would like for you to try some troubleshooting steps available in the following links below to check if the issue can be solved. After you have followed those steps please test the unit by using differing inputs for example HDMI, Component and composite ports.
We researched it on line and then called to place our order. Instructions for set-up were easy to follow and we had it hooked up and programed within 30 minutes. Picture and sound quality are excellent. The I-manual on this TV helps you navigate and trouble any questions you may have. TV is light weight and easy to manage. We could not be more pleased with this purchased. In fact, we purchased another one as a gift the very next day!

Beautiful Picture, Mediocre Software
on September 28, 2014

We replaced a Toshiba 40" with this Sony and have been impressed with the picture and sound quality. Blacks are dark, colors are crisp, and the size of the screen is perfect for our apartment living room. This hangs on the wall nicely and is perfectly thin and light.
As for the software running on this TV, it leaves something to be desired. Responsiveness is frustrating sometimes where even to get to the main menu you have to wait for periods of time that seem comparable to an old 486 computer booting up. I was disappointed that Amazon Instant wasn't part of the original firmware but with a recent update it was added - with slow, small lists of titles. I'm hoping for some improvements in future releases.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The tv is by far the best ever. It's too bad the user manual doesn't even come close.
