WI-FI issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am glad I purchased LG Premium Care Plan, I had several issues with the WI-FI connection, they have replaced twice the WI-FI card and still have same issues with the TV. It keeps dropping the WI-FI connection in the middle of streaming a show, I have my WI-FI router next to the TV and keeps dropping the connection. I have other TVs different brand in first and second floor of my house and I never had any issues with them. I gave three starts because it has other features I liked but these days other TVs have same or better features.
Pros: ease of use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Warning - Read before buying

I purchased this TV after reading all the positive reviews. I don't usually write bad reviews but I'm trying to help others. I agree 100% with GOhio's review which I initially dismissed. At the store the picture from the demo video looked great but that is not reality. The light from the edges, specifically the corners bleeds into the picture making dark scenes look like there was a white light on. GOhio was correct in that it's actually worse from the top left corner. This is also very apparent when the movie is of a different size such as wide screen and there is a black strip on the top and bottom, or the sides for the none HD channels. I've added pictures for you to see for yourself. I hope this helps you. As for me, I packed up the TV and returned it to the store. Sorry LG, but this is not acceptable.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

lg has come far and beyond with this tv

All i can say is wow! I have the 55ub8500 and was very happy with all the features especially the web browser. Even looks good with 480i. Now i just bought the 65uf8500 and will put the 55 in my bedroom. 3d is great especially without having to use powered glasses. Just had to get this in a 65 verses the 55. Thumbs up lg!

Very noticeable edge backlighting

I just bought this TV, but I am very disappointed with the very noticeable edge backlighting. It is very noticeable from the TV corners during dark scene, even more on the upper left hand corner.
I though LG engineer would have figure out that by now and not release a tv with this much edge backlighting. It looks like this TV suffers from this issue, everyone over at AVS has mentioned it. So if the edge backlighting bleed does not bother you much, then this TV is a very good value. The picture is clear and colors are accurate. 4K looks amazing, although not much content is available. WEBOS can use more features, specially I like the samsung feature where you can view live TV on your mobile phone or notepad.
Right now, I am debating whether to keep the TV or return it because of the edge backlighting bleed.

Overall, I am pleased with the performance. There is noticeable ghosting when in 3D mode and it is appreciably worse when viewed from above or below seated position.
