Amazing images

I bought this because my blu-ray discs deliver wonderful image and sound. It was easy to install and it is easy to use. The other features will take some time to learn, and they look like a great bonus.
Pros: Style/Design, Performance, Quality, easy to use

Internet and apps do not work well

I bought this to use with a television that does not have internet capabilities so I could see streaming content. . I had a ten year old player that did the same thing and thought I would replace it. Newer has to be better right? Wrong. The LG would freeze while watching Subscription streaming apps. The controls for all aspects of the device were extremely slow and when it froze I would have to unplug it and restart to get it working again. So bad that I plugged the 10 year player back in and and it works great. I will be returning the LG to the store.

blu ray with wifi

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to stream you tube and netflix and I thought at first it was exactly what I needed I was so excited to use it, but I was disappointed upon first use. First, it took forever to download the apps, then i would put on you tube and when i would search for a title after typing it all in it would click back out to the main screen. It did this multiple times and it is very frustrating, then mid watching something it will go back to main screen. I don't know if they all do this but the one I bought has bad glitches, it seems very cheaply made.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Another LG great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Blu-ray player to upgrade the LG Blu-ray player I already have that is probably 8 to 10 years old, it still works and I have never had a problem with it and is still being used in another room but since it is so old you can only connect to Netflix, we needed 2 upgrade to be able to hook up to Hulu and Amazon which I believe when we bought the first LG Blu-ray player was not even in existence as a streaming video option. It was very simple to hook up and get everything set up on it and start watching in no time. Very pleased with the ease of operation as it is very similar to our old LG Blu-ray player and works very much in the same way. We are very happy with all of the LG products in our home and will continue to be an LG consumer. Thank you for making such great and reliable products.

Could be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Feature wise, this is a great product. It turns an ordinary flat screen TV into a Smart one. However, it constantly drops the signal from a modem/router less than 50 feet away, and the tray sometimes refuses to open after repeated attempts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had my Blu-ray/dvd wifi ready player for a day so it's all still new to me. But, with the short time I've had it I've grown to really enjoy the features and great picture quality of it. I'm having a little trouble with the lag in the the remote. What I mean by this is the short delay once you've pushed a button to the time it takes the set-top box to receive it. No big problem though. All in all I am very proud of my new LG product and thank you guys and gals for making a wonderful blu-ray player.

Figured I'd be able to download said app. All preinstalled and no choice to have other apps. Now I'm out the 60 -70$ I spent. I'm sure it works good for DVDs and blu Ray's. Disappointed

Can't use the words I want to...

I have been having trouble with this player since the day I got it. After exchanging 3 times to get this one for other product failures, this one crashes just about every single time I try to use it. On Netflix, watching a blu ray or dvd. sometimes even just turning it on causes it to crash. I am so frustrated, and I will NEVER buy an LG product again.
