great styling and features

We needed a counter depth fridge and really didn't want an external water feature. Why waste already limited fridge space with that? But we succumbed since LG has no counter-depth w/o it. And we are enjoying the convenience of the ice and very cold water. Love the space saving shelf,LED lighting, a must for my husband, and the freezer organization. All around very pleased with our purchase after a very bad experience with another top brand.. The cost was high though, but maybe you get what you pay for.

Nice Refrigerator

This is the first counter depth refrigerator I have ever purchased, and I like most things about it. It is very attractive, but I had a difficult time getting one delivered without it getting dented. The stainless seems pretty easy to dent, and that was my biggest complaint. The refrigerator itself is working well and is roomy, and I believe that it is keeping my food fresher.
Pros: easy to use

High quality superior design

We're exceptionally pleased with this recent LG purchase. The size fits our counter depth and the interior space provided is surprisingly expansive due to the design features. The smart cooling feature keeps food fresher longer, and the stainless steel exterior is very attractive and current.

Very Complete Product

Very happy with this product with one small issue.
Looks good, is very quiet, extremely bright interior, great features and flexibility, and has wonderful capacity for a counter-depth appliance.
In fact, the only (small) complaint that I have after owning it for three months is that it did not qualify for the EnergyStar rebate in Oregon. This unit may be EnergyStar qualified, but is not 30% more efficient than the standard, which is what is required for the rebate here. In fact, someone at EnergyStar told me on the phone that this unit may not qualify at all for new standards issued in the Fall of 2013.
Expected more of LG.

Repair was going to cost me $800.00! It’s not worth it if it’s still only going to last awhile longer! The sad part is that it still looks brand new inside! You really should make longer lasting, good quality appliances! Now all my friends know!

Looks Good But.............

Within the first six months of owning this refrigerator the ice maker jams daily and the freezer has failed twice spoiling my frozen food.
Not a good decision to purchase this model.

1 Major Design Flaw

This fridge has everything going but one major design flaw. The doors pivot out instead of an inside pivot. Because of the outside pivot we cannot place our fridge flush with the cabinets. If we do not move the fridge forward there is not enough clearance for the doors to open without hitting the cabinet doors. Very disappointing since the whole reason we paid more money for a counter depth fridge was to have our fridge sit flush with the cabinets.

Beyond My Eggspectations

When we first opened the doors to the LED lit interior we stepper back and actually chimed in --HOOLEE!
The completely Lit up interior and water/cube dispenser-without hot bulbs and with light Everywhere knocked us out.
It's one thing to see a display looking nice in a store but to see the Fridge in our kitchen with the other stainless steel appliances was Awesome.
My wife won the "Who gets the first glass of filtered water--after set-up of course. It was cold, crisp clear and one of the best tasting glasses of water ever!
The more we used the LG refrigerator the more we were glad we bought it. It only got better. The ice cubes had choices of types that worked as expected. The variety of temperatures left food quality perfect and food stayed fresher longer--even in the veg/fruit bins
I tried different temperature settings on the front display panel. It was amazing how I could get A pleasure from a fridge I never knew was possible. I set the temperatures to a setting that was terrific at keeping all the foods perfect for my family. Apples are delicious. Milk is completely refreshing. Sodas are cold. Wine is chilled. Lettuce and tomatoes last longer than I expected. Even my corn on the cob stays fresher.
The fridge fits in the space just as planned.
I have never, after having over 10 refrigerators across my many houses and apartments expected a refrigerator that really used the modern Technology so well.
We are happy every time we have use of the LG refrigerator we bought.
Who would have ever expected that, not me.
The electrical efficiency --money on the overall yearly cost in electricity --was tje icing on the cake.
